New Prints

The prints are looking nice – after many hours of backwards and forwards we think we have them perfect. Hopefully this run will be the ones we use and we can launch the new art site and party on in to the night.

Watch this space.

“Derren Brown is the worlds leading mentalist and has performed sell out tours of the UK, shows in over 30 countries and been a regular performer on UK TV for over 8 years. He is a master of Psychology, suggestion, showmanship, illusion, NLP and magic. ”
Is he flinching at being a master of NLP?

Blimey, is there anything he isn’t good at, or even just mediocre?

ScreamingGreenConure says:

Anthony Hopkins is staring at me. It’s a picture of a print, why is it staring at me? Is it because I have had much caffeine and little sleep?

Ms G says:

I wonder what it was that made you going forward and backward, re. the prints. Oh, you probably mean on the website … aah.

I can think up a few who I’d love to have done by brown .. oh yes. But hey .. Most probably want to look better than in real life .. ehehe … as the painters once way back used to do .. So would people hire Brown to do a portrait of theirselves if he had been into this type of work .. Hm, yeah ..

Ms G says:

SGC: it’s not the caffeine or lack of sleep … it’s just you … your brain … It’s the start of psychoses … He really is going after you you know …. he’ll sneak into your body … takes over your brain …

Or is it just you being in love with that man … getting intimate with him … eyes meet eyes ….. kindred spiritis …

He does seem sort of alive , doesn’t he … their skin … Mine never do … although I thought my queen in kindergarten really looked like our queen … could not understand why i did not get the prize .. serious .. why they didn’t see the enormous resemblence … I really did not understand … little flabbergasted child I was iin that moment … to flabbergasted to get the emotion inside …

ScreamingGreenConure says:

ReliegiousMarie says:

lol @ SGC…if you have a nice cuppa coffee with Hopkins…i guarantee you, he will leave you alone and take only one of your ears for dinner …

Martin says:

Whats the name of the person on the big painting to the right?? anybody? It kinda reminds me of Eddie Stone, ya know the guy from the SAS TV series. it’s hardly him though, or is it? btw the Anthony Hopkins one is amazing, really reminds me of Hopkins character as ‘Hannibal Lecture’

Berber Anna says:

Martin: Some quick sleuthing (well, actually, just browsing the art section of the official site ;-)) reveals that it’s a young Orson Welles. I think he looks a bit like Tom Hanks, don’t you think? Interesting — I knew the name Welles (the whole mass-hysteria thing with his War of the Worlds audioplay has always fascinated me), but I’ve never had a face to put with it.

I think these are painted very nicely, but caricatures are really not my thing. Still interested in what the new art site will be like, though.

How strange… the new layout doesn’t show my line breaks.

Mods, you don’t have to approve this comment. I’m just testing to see whether I can solve it by using html.
- yeh were working on that – the CSS is not playing by the rules – thanks though. PD.

I do hope you have one of David Tennant; best Doctor ever.

- We do! PD

seen Mr. Arkadin the other night
just might need more Welles in my life

flapjack says:

Whodat … just for you
“in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, bloodshed and murder but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci and Derren Brown. In Switzerland they had brotherly love and 500 years of democracy and peace and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!”
OK I’ve taken some liberties here, but that’s an original Orson Welles quote you can throw into any conversation!
[Not sure about that third man though...]

July 1, 2009 at 8:33 am
flapjack says:

BTW – Orson Welles’s last two movies were “The Muppet Movie” and voicing Unicron in “Transformers the Movie”.
Interesting career path…

Looking forward to having a look-see at new art site!

@SGC: It is a bit stare-y – I’d go as far as to say it is heebie jeebie inducing…its more Lecter than Hopkins I think!
