I can follow your reasoning, but in a sense the one selling the tickets got onto those tickets fair and square. In a sense it is there own choice what to do with it, seeing they put the effort in it: being it going themselves to the show, giving the tickets away for free, selling the tickets or in the best case giving them back to the organisation.

Although I understand if it is a patron of getting hold of tickets just for selling it that it can be quite irritating and can seem quite unfair for those just missing the tickets because of those people and having to pay much more just for the opportunity to still go.

What cutting in line reference is concerned, I would understand if the ones in line couldn't also buy those other tickets, but they can, so they get the same chance. If you look at it, they even get more chance then the one trying to buy the ticket online, because they also have the waiting list as backup. Second, like you said the ticket will probably cost much more on e-bay, so those people are two times at a disadvantage. With as only motivation and advantage, being able to go to a show they like.

But at least now I do see the reasoning and understand it, thank you:)
