The couple I have been in, I was lucky enough to be inside (the house). I just wonder how safe it would be to keep driving. You wouldn’t be able to see very far if at all in front of you, you would easily drive off the road etc if there was a corner. That looked pretty nasty, you would struggle with dust coming into the car etc I would imagine. We had dust come into our home, and just covers everything..there is also a lot of air moving around and swirling.. As for inside.. it is swirling dust. Kinda like if you could crawl inside a vac. cleaner. (not that I have

Is that from the mid 90s? I was near Broken Hill then and we were caught under a giant dust storm. Perhaps not, it looked a bit different. It didn’t reach the ground where I saw it, it was like this giant hovering space ship of darkness above.
