Google Earth is cool, They have just included the ability to look at the ocean floors as well.
I love Google Earth! So can you look around Mars know? or am I being stupid? lol
*now
The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, they say…
I love that song. War of the Worlds is awesome — the concept of the book, the panic sparked by the audioplay, the musical version. Everything but the movie, which reduced the events of the book to the background for some standard emotional drama…
it´s still all prerecorded isn´t it?…
At the risk of revealing myself as a total loser, here’s the little game I like to play on Google Earth: I turn off all the place names, zoom in pretty close, then click and drag to set the planet spinning very quickly in a random direction. I let it go til it’s made at least a full rotation, then I do it again in a different random direction. I repeat a couple times until I definitely have no idea what part of the world it is, and I stop it somewhere on land. Then I look around a bit and try to figure out where I am without having to zoom out or turn on labels.
Yeah, it’s a pretty full life I lead.
Berber Anna – I’m with you on that one – totally love Jeff Wayne’s WOTW (have you seen it live? Wonderful!). The radio play is complete genius also. Strangely I never liked the original book all that much!
Even the Tom Cruise film was good…yes it was!
Does anyone realise that when the martian invade they have a ready made plan the form of Google Earth? It highlights all the places they have to attack first, and even has Area 51 on it for Bobs sake!
We are doooomed!
Ooo-laa!
That’s great, except I’m now wondering, if we will see a satellite image of the remains of Beagle 2 having crash landed on Mars.
Ouch… a sore subject!
If only it had real live satelite all the time ….
No comments regarding Google Ocean? We now can check Atlantis .. cool!
