Of course there’s a gap between science and faith, but it’s not because of an incorrect reading of scripture. It’s because science is capable of uncovering new knowledge based on observed facts, while faith only works if you believe the same old things whether they’re factual or not.

Why do people keep treating faith like it’s comparable to science?

ReliegiousMarie: I do agree about spirituality giving religion a bad rap, but I disagree about science and religion. Scientist must be objective to see a result as it is and not tainted. I don’t think that someone who is religion would be able to be impartial about certain scientific area. Genetic research for example.
Although I accept that the individual makes up their own mind about theistic matters ( I am atheist BTW), I do think there is a minority of religious types that try to highjack science and skew theories for their own ends and not for the pure scientific method.
Is a nice site even for me who almost entirely disagrees with what is being said…lol

@ken…you know what the problem is…i think that religion is put in one category with spirituality seems to make it hard for alot of people to be able to look at spirituality or being inspired“`as part of science…..pitty in my view….

the world isnt as black and white and seperated in parts and we are not so different from eachother nor from the animals indeed…

A group of very dedicated and sincere people with a noble cause that are almost always wrong.
Neurotheology? Please.
I have seen similar groups before how try to either excuse Religion with Science or,more worryingly, vice versa. Dig further into the site and you will find some intriguing papers that give away the writers true course.
My view is that Religion deals with faith and Science deals with fact. Faith doesn’t require hard fact to be believed, yet science demands it. there is absolutely no need to reconcile science with religion.
Profound questions of nature? Try evolution….
