I know, I know – this may be like shooting fish in a barrel but it’s educational – it shows how sediment is formed so you’ll darn well watch it. It also shows you the level some creationists will go to just to defend the absurd theories they own and you find out how chalk was made.. and stuff…!

LOVE IT. Phillis you are wonderful. What a fabulous way to start the day. More please and yes I will go down on my knees and beg if necessary.
I saw a recent documentary on the BBC in which a journalist (can’t remember which one) explored the fact and the fiction and historical evidence which supports the Noah story.
Quite aside from the logistical impossibility of getting all those species into one private yacht without them eating each other or spawning generations of sickly inbreds, it turned out that once the many translations and chinese whispers accounts were stripped away you had Noah and his family (rich merchants at the time) picnicing on a jetty with some family pets and livestock as a localised flood started. The jetty washed up on the opposite bank in the Caspian sea (or one of those other smaller seas in the Middle east). The end. No worldwide catastrophe, just a family day out with some pets that went wrong due to bad weather. No worldwide catastrophe. But like Chinese whispers they found that subsequent accounts written by early Jewish scribes added more and more to the story until you had a supertanker full of all the animals in the world and no landmass left! I wish I could find a link on Youtube!
This guy and AronRa are heroes of mine. Here’s one of AronRa’s greatest moments…
