I don't believe in one standard when it comes to men and female brains. And the comment when it comes to human subjects in this type of research as always: humans in experimental situations in research will not be in their normal selves ... and too many random things that will trigger their brain at the same time as well ... therefor nothing proven here ...

Beautifull things are being seen upon differently all the time .. at some days you just dont see beauty at all, let alone appreciate ...
on other days you will see it but still not the same way as you now and then can see it on other days. It feels different in brain/body. It's sometimes very shallow, plainly an appreciation from seeing something without that it will trigger a single thought in your brain .. on other days it will trigger a whole lot in your brain .. it reminds you of something, or you notice something in it that makes you wonder .. bla bla bla ...
And people who are not on to beauty at all but will try to see towards it just because someone asks them to see it ... makes sense that it will not trigger the same system as in someone who really does like it from him/herself.

@cca - what’s with the pissy attitude? "so stop with the old fashioned crap" Get over yourself and don't take things too personally. All I'm saying is that women are more likely to forego looks, I mean just take a real look around you. Explain Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton? What the hell happened there?

Take a look at all the rich men in the world, Donald Trump and all the gorgeous models he dated. Do you really think they are dating him for his looks? The list of young gorgeous women with men that are lacking in the looks department is endless.

Personally speaking, yes, I do have a certain look I go for, but what attracts me more is charisma, personality.

It is biological fact that men are more likely to be sexually aroused by visuals. Go into a strip club and count the number of men vs the number of women clients. That is not to say women are not visually aroused too but men can are more prone to it, due to the way they are "wired."

Diana- it is absolute bollocks that men are more visual than women- that has always been some kind of an "excuse" for men, I think its 50/50- esp nowadays, women like to look just as men do- esp when it comes to porn, so stop with the old fashioned crap and get with the modern age where there is hardly any difference between men and women.

I go for men that are good looking first- otherwise I wouldnt give them a second chance- shallow? Tough men have been doing it since the year dot- now its females turn to turn the tables- but I'm not going to lie.

Looks come first, then personality(ie the usual nice things), then humour- but I find it hard to find a guy who is an equal to my surreal humour- its unfortunate.
