See if you can catch this video before it’s removed by the nice legal team at the Church of Scientology. It basically lays the blame at the door of a well known “psychiatrist”, al-Zawahiri who turned Osama Bin Laden from a “normal guy” in to a psychotic mastermind. The sheer number of inacracies in the video turns it from mild speculation to sheer propoganda – but then hey, if we can’t get a whole heap of crazy from TCOS then where can we get it.
Scientologists: Psychiatry to blame for 9-11

A whole heah of crazy indeed…oh dear!
I think I might look into TCOS a bit more, not to join, of course, but it just seems so much more surreal than I thought it was!
it’s always intrigued me that those who go on record as hating the psychiatric profession tend to be the very people it was set up to help.
I emailed the guy’s branch of the CCHR to establish whether these were his own personal views or the views of the organisaion as well, along with requesting info on the mind control techniques he claims are used (and whether or not they could be used covertly
). Never got back to me, oddly…
What’s also interesting is that this video followed on not too long after Jett Travolta’s death, which saw Scientologists all over the shop claiming that they only have a problem with bad psychiatrists; something that their leader Miscavige, or the guy from CCHR, doesn’t seem to agree with.
Aren’t phychiatrists supposed to make people sane not phyco. :-s
Last I heard, CCHR was suspended indefinitely, Lafayette.
I think the CoS dislikes psychology because a psychologist or psychiatrist might be able to explain to members how some of their methods for recruitment and member retention work.
So Bin Laden is a “nice” man who has been led astray.
Oh and do watch the other videos about Scientology, I especially liked the one that shows them using child labour in their offices, and Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson) invalidating her own contract with the FOX network by using Bart’s voice to promote the ” religion”.
I really want one of those leaflets offered at the end of the video … to show it to a psychiatrist I know.
Why would Scientology’s legal team remove the video? The information in it is what CCHR, the psychiatric watchdog group that was established by the Church of Scientology, want you to be aware of. Here’s another video on the same subject that goes into it in greater depth: Behind the Terror – http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?q=9/11%20cchr&sourceid=navclient-ff&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-32,GGGL:en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wv#q=“behind+the+terror”&hl=en&emb=0
Do you suppose any Scientologist actually understands what psychiatry IS? My goodness, next they’ll be getting rid of surgeons.
Johnalexwood –
Almost. The CCHR, the anti-psychiatry hate group that was established by the Church of Scientology, certainly wants gullible people to be exposed to its propaganda. However, what they don’t want is for that propaganda to be held up for critical examination, because if people start checking what the CCHR claims as fact, they quickly find out how much of it is lies and delusion and just plain nonsense.
One might as well ask why the Church of Scientology wanted the famous Tom Cruise video taken down and had their legal team fighting hard to make that happen. After all, if it was true that “[Scientology] are the authorities on getting people off drugs … the authorities on the mind … the authorities on improving conditions. Criminon … can rehabilitate criminals … can bring peace and unite cultures” — why wouldn’t the Church of Scientology want to get those claims for the product it sells out to everybody? … The answer, of course, is that Scientologists are NOT the authorities on all those things; they are in fact just unqualified wannabes with grandiose fantasies, just as their departed guru L. Ron Hubbard was. Thus the CoS tried to suppress the Tom Cruise video, because it made too clear (to anyone whose ability to test reality had not been damaged by Scientology) that Scientology does not make its wonderful promises into reality; it delivers grandiose fantasies and damages the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy.
AF – I think the reason Scientology has drug rehab is a lot more straightforward than that… If you’re a regular class A drug abuser then chances are your brain is already turned to mush and your defences are down. Therefore to then tell you that Zenu is your intergalactic machiavellian lord and master, and has possessed you with the spirits of 80 dead dudes which he killed by hypnotising them and putting them at the base of volcanoes and detonating these volcanoes with an H bomb, and that everything you believe that doesn’t conform to Scientology doctrine is as a result of these “thetans” aka. spirits taking possession of most of your brain after you went to the cinema is that much easier to impress on a drug addled mind.
Normally they have to break you down in subtle stages to believe that shite, but if you’ve just come off drugs, they can skip some of the intensive groundwork and get straight on with the major league BS.
MUCH lol
I found that out from a couple of ex-scientologists passing out pamphlets outside the Manchester Scientology Centre, warning passers by not to enter. They went into grest detail about this central myth about Zenu… cooked up by L Ron Hubbard after his former career as a bad pulp sci-fi novelist failed to launch.
Naturally they usually save the big craziness for 6th level scientologists, but by that point you are legally bound to secrecy and you’ve already parted with a whole stack of cash. These people hire lawyers the way city banks hire accountants.
Even L Ron himself was famously quoted as saying “If you want to make a fast buck, you could do a lot worse than start your own religion”. Sure enough, 4 years later he “discovered” one. Buyer beware.
I always thought that Scientology was a bit of a joke until you start looking into it. Then you realise that these people are dangerous. On the same video website there are stories about people starving to death during their clensing rituals and people who committed suicide after being taken off their anti psych drugs.
The business known as the Church/Cult of $cientology is currently in the process of being dismantled by a group known as Anonymous. $cientology has muscled in on several charitable organisations which they then run as fronts to gently indoctrinate vulnerable people into their cult.
