The clouds were observed on June 18th last year from a Japan Coast Guard aircraft just off the northeastern coast of Hokkaido.

I don’t remember any stripey clouds in the brave overhanging firmament when I was a kid.

Shock horror! I was going to comment about how it wouldn\’t be long before someone made a chemtrail / HAARP / mind control conspiracy connection, but someone already did!
