By 2045, give or take. We are already a hybrid of biological and non-biological technology. A handful of people have electronic devices in their brain, for example. The latest generation allows medical software to be downloaded to a computer inside your brain. But if you consider that 25 years from now these technologies will be 100,000 times smaller and a billion times more powerful, you get some idea of what will be feasible. And even though most of us don’t have computers in our bodies, they are already part of who we are.

the human race evolved to robots, freaky.
They are not really part of who we are, computers. They are just tools to see a bit more in life, the same way you can see to other people, tv, books etc.
They make these brain computers sound a bit too wonderfull. Those normally are just there for those who need it for a specific reason.
I dont see this enormous difference between now and then, as the self of people (which is completely in the brain) is dependent on this brain. No need to get much further into this .. all can see what the backdraft of these technologies could be, even if they could develop systems that would take over parts in your brain completely …
Life would become pretty boring, that’s already one thing I can see … let alone all the other things. Human biological life can never be replaced by other ways of life .. for a very clear reason. Human nature is in the body and brain itself .. without it we would no longer be.
Criminal usage of those type of technologies is already pretty clear to all of us ofcourse … SF is always ahead of us.
Who needs another processor .. mind works fine … a bit weird at times but hey .. that adds this little flavor to life I’d say …
Those who want these other computers in their head will be used as computers … no longer as humans … Who is volunteering? So not the ones that are just there to take care of some medical problems but the other computers ..
havent we technically be hybrids since man started taking Dentistry seriously?
