Poo!
Excuse the typo's there (they were typo's honest) :p
Spotted them just as I'd hit the "Send Comment".

I didn't give out a loud verbal "Nooooooooo!" however, because it's not too important really.
I'm sure I can be forgiven

@JayKay
Btw, I missed out that:
I also definitely agree with the fact that personal connection and word of mouth are still extremely powerful advertising mediums.
For all the money you could pay ceratin search engines or indeed webiste submission firms etc... Nothing get's your 'brand' embedded into peoples minds better than a genuinely friendly reccomendation, from people you can trust.
I'd always wanted to try and rely mainly on W.O.M. myself, for a company that I'd like to try and start, once I've done enough self-study and got enough money saved up for the bits and pieces I'd need to start building it.

It's a dream... currently I'm still allowed those, well when I can get to sleep, haha.

I've missed out my standard 'sign off' on my last post... shocking!

Peace People! :D

@ JayKay
Agree with pretty much everything you say.
What is your job?
I do love your metaphorics (not meant to sound as rude as it does... not even sure if that's an actual word ;) )
Seemed to be an underlying theme of eating, biting and nibbling there, lol.

I do myself seem to be similar in my approach to how you described what you do e.g. "...to devour stuff and then go look for another load of stuff to become engrossed in. Hmmm."... Indeed, it is very distracting.
That said, when looking deeper into some of the posts and the linked articles, I have found some things that appear may actually help me with my life. Sometimes not directly part of the relevant article, more just an additional thing on the site I've been taken to.

I've done the same a couple of times, been lots to consider and reconsider on previous posts.. Good fun though. Wouldn't mind doing a bit of research from time to time as a job actually. Guess I already do it as part of my job already really, but I do like when I find stuff I can get my teeth into. I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing to devour stuff and then go look for another load of stuff to become engrossed in. Hmmm. But I've really enjoyed the little nibbles here, which make me want to go find out more. And the posts are a laugh too. I like when folks get behind something and add energy to it. For all the technology, personal connection and word of mouth is a great way of building brand loyalty still. And we get little biscuits here and there as rewards.

:)
Magic... maybe you're becoming 'drawn' to me and sub conciously clicked on my name in that little side thing listing most recent posts? Lol.

I've been going back and forth a fair bit through these pages...
Even though I'm not usually the first by a long shot to discover any of the new clues or their meanings.... it's finding profound and delightful posts like this, that I have other-wise missed, makes it all somehow worthwile
;)

I just read that old Derren post and isn't it beautifully written? And how true - all it takes is just... kindness. It seems to be missing from certain souls though and I am left with a stunned confusion that not everyone thinks the same way; that people really are often that regardless and will sit, staring out from their cosy bus seat whilst a 70 year old woman with suitcases is left to stand. It's utterly jaw-dropping to me.

I loved the bit about the sheets in the blog - always wondered why we're always strapped into bed by straight-jacket sheets. I don't know how I got to the blog page though, it just seemed to go there... Didn't click on owt... Must have... Weird...

I came to this post after doing a certain search on the blog, related to the sentance "If this website were a object it would be a little glass box that was lying under a table."

After reading a few other past blog posts I saw this one. Just wanted to say that the entire paragraph starting...

"Simple kindness makes all the difference. An hotel (even ‘a’ hotel, which is similar but not quite as fancy: no spa and you don’t get dressing gowns in your room)can be equipped with all the conveniences to satisfy the fussiest touring mind-reader, but such things are immediately forgotten when the staff are miserable or uninterested."

... stood out to me (and not just because of the similar 'An' & 'a' relation). Everything said about how people act towards one another, so true!

Peace people!

A brilliantly written piece! I worked for Accor (the company that owns the brand Novotel) and your writing brings back memories of the job!!?!! They do have a 'policy' of (and this is their 'wisdom'!!) creating as 'unoffensive' an environment as possible in order to " appeal to most people most of the time".. wrong on every level!! ... and offensive on every level too!!!

Derren, you should write more - I could read Derren Brown narratives all day long. In your book, my favourite line is 'beneath the gently disappointing London Eye' (may not be an actual quote - it's been a while since I read it).
And to all those who cannot spell, write in irritating text speak and don't bother or are unable to read back what you have written - perhaps you should consider reconsidering and not bother the rest of us with your annoying twaddle.
Many thanks!
