I have quite a few of these coins as l collect them for our holiday fund, l would like to sell some and keep the rest how do l go about selling them and who to?

Any help would be great thanks xx

Fellow bloggers should keep a careful eye out for people selling these as ‘bargains’ – remember that it is easy to ‘fake’ one of these coins by simply taking a picture of the heads sign of an old 20p, and the tails side of a new 20p – Someone could then display these two pictures as ‘proof’ of an mistakenly minted 20p with no date – I’ve seen a few already for sale suspiciously less than the £50 the mint are buying them for.

Berber Anna: I already got that from the text itself .. ehehe … I was just surfing by mind into another direction .. we like making fun of other languages’ words now and then. I’m sure they do it all the time with Dutch … (we too) and if not … oh well …

MS G: They’re not mints, they’re coins — the institute making (‘minting’) and/or distributing them is the Mint.

No 20p ones, but I have several pennies from my trip to London (just got back half an hour ago) that have that weird back. Wonder if those are worth anything… I’m keeping them, anyway, as they’re cool little curiosities.

Damn. I don’t have any. I’m gonna look in everyone elses wallets in my house and if I find one I’ll sneakily replace it with a normal 20p. Its not really stealing if I’m replacing it for something of the same value (kind of)
