Noone can possibly know what blushing is like unless they are a sufferer themselves. Being shy and self-conscious doesn't help, nor, as somebody else said, having the fact pointed out to you (which I've had to endure on numerous occasions.)
I'm fair-skinned and naturally rosy-cheeked, so when I go red, it can be really bad. And people can be quite cruel at times (deliberately too).
But good make-up, deep-breathing exercises and just general ignorance are the only ways I've found that I can deal with it.
And yes, blushing IS one hell of a vicious circle. One that I seem destined to be stuck in.....

Yeah I think this is common knowledge. I remember a tutor at Uni mentioning how him talking about it would result in some in the lecture theatre blushing. Nice to hear people are researching it though as it really is a vicious circle and I have recently found myself smack bang in the middle of it. Something made me blush and now everytime someone speaks to me for longer than a couple of words (barring friends etc) I worry that I might blush and worrying about it makes me do so. It's absolutely ridiculous and hell to live with. It's definitely related to confidence. It really makes you feel so stupid afterwards too so it's a double blow. And people pointing it out only makes it worse. Don't they realise that?! Research into how to stop it please! I've heard breathing out really slowly but that's impossible when you are involved in a conversation.

It has been a long time since I blushed ... I remember that I just focussed their attention on it .. This heat is more worse, I find, than the blush itself. Sweat ..
I can understand that if you have a blush system inside it might be not that nice. But it's mostly those who respond weird to it that will make it more worse than it should have been I guess. The vicious circles are known to most of us I guess. When you may not cough .. you really will need to cough all the time. Goes also for laughing at times.

I truely hate blushing. I blush at the slightest thing, and apparently am not even aware I'm doing it half the time. At school I got called 'Red Face', which made me blush even more. Which sounds funny and was sometimes but yeah I don't know.

I'm pretty sure it's the same with sweat - the thought of "oh my god i'm sweating" can just.. make you sweat!

(Re anti-spam text the problem is you don't see it unless you scroll *past* the submit button! I'm sure I'm not the first to fall foul of that!

Also - to be pedantic - "regenerate some new text" should either be "generate some new text" or "regenerate some text", right?! :))

I don't actually mind blushing, so don't fear it, therefore rarely blush. Also, some people look very attractive when they're blushing.
