“I’m not a terrorism supporter, I’m a vengeance of God supporter”
Thanks for the clarification just like the “praying for his death not his murder” Via A.M.B
hm. I thought God is Love. That’s what I saw outside a church on the way to work this morning. Surely if you pray for someone to be harmed you are not praying with God or Love. Or something.
Why do the media insist on giving these lunatics air-time? Pay them the attention they deserve, none. Is it me or are the ones that sound the most dangerous always the most religious fanatics, coincidence? hmmm.
So he is just repeating what God is saying? Interesting. Could I see a transcript of that conversation?
God said that it would be better for president Obama to be dead (by natural causes, I suppose: the pastor is totally opposed to the idea of murder). Would an earthquake count as well? Or death by lightning?
I wish the pastor would be a little bit clearer about what God is saying. Personally, I think he must have misunderstood or perhaps he wasn’t listening properly. You know how it goes, you’re just busy drilling a hole in the wall to hang up a crucifix (or a painting: I don’t want to be stepping on anybody’s toes) and just then God decides to talk to you.
So, ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, don’t you think that there is a slight chance that the pastor hasn’t heard well? That he might be a teeny bit confused about who talks to him and what exactly this person is saying?
@ Chris… Don’t think that the blog is advocating anything, just passing on info??
I, however, will be happy to advocate judging people for vocalising their fanaticism, stupidity and lunacy.
I thought I’d tuned in to a radio spot for that new horror movie “Drag me to Hell”.
You know – that new Sam Raimi flick where a demented gypsy puts a curse on a bank clerk for not granting a third extention to her mortgage arrears, and implores a supernatural agent to intervene in the matter by first killing said bank clerk and then dragging her to hell.
Except this is a pastor doing it. Vindictive gypsy curses in cheesy tongue-in-cheek horror movies/ evangelical wingnuts and their belief systems – apparently there’s not a world of difference there. Well at least now Sam Raimi knows who to cast for the sequel!
@phillis – i think laughter is the only real way to deal with this particular type of whacko.
imo, he’s actually coming really close to breaking the law here. he’s not precisely doing so, but definitely skirting it. calling for someone’s death or trying to incite another to commit a murder is certainly a crime – most esp. when the person in question is the POTUS. by making his exhortations specifically to god, who can’t really be brought to court*, instead of the general public, he’s narrowly avoiding that definition.
at the same time, by declaring it over the radio, he’s making his intent and wishes publically known, and implicitly if not explitcitly accomplishing the same end. since he is a pastor and, i assume, a leader of a congregation, i find the act particularly irresponsible and reprehensible. what’s to stop one of his flock from thinking that he or she has become the instrument of god’s vengeance, and the answer to the pastor’s prayers?
anyway, if i prayed, i’d pray that he got piles.
*although an argument could be made that god is already in our courts, since we must swear on a bible to him that we’ll tell the truth when we testify. don’t you like comments with footnotes?
I’m pretty sure that if there was a god he could kill someone regardless of pray… This just shows how detached from any form of logic and reason these people can be. The interviewer made the best point ‘You do not know.’
I would like to know why this guy thinks Obama needs to die…
Extraordinary. Totally divorced from reality.
that’s just strange.
What a nutbag.
why did i just giggle uncontrolably at the pastor saying he has a “personal relationship” with jesus?
that´s 5.11 minutes wasted…is that a new fetish btw, god impregnating this man with prayers? huuuh

This is utterly terrifying. That man is crazy!!

Hearing Pastor Drake talk, I couldn’t help but picture the bad guy from Poltergeist II.

Not sure I’m clear what the issue is. Are you advocating judging people for their thoughts?

yeah i don’t think that’s going to work out for him too well.
“I’m not a terrorism supporter, I’m a vengeance of God supporter”
pretty much all terrorists think that, don’t they?
what a d*ck lol
Around here we spell FOX News as FAUX News.
@Chris – I shouldn’t laugh but that is rather true!

Clearly, this guy has just proven that he probably won’t be going near any heaven. QED.
