I went to WC at the weekend. i had such a good time apart from the dungeons. it was awful. to start a waste of money. nothing was of much interest unless you like fake sets and a silly story that has nothing to do with anything. also the actors kept jumping out at you what made you scream and got really annoying after a while. not that your scared of the actual place just being booed when you don't expect it

I've been in the dungeons of WC and they did nothing for me. Interesting... yes! Scarey... no. I guess some people are just highly strung... or at least ought to be, maybe IN the dungeons lol

Now I have been there and done the whole dungeon thing and have to say the scariest bit of it is parting an additional £7 for it on top of the entry.

It NOT that scary at all and think the lack of aircon and enclosed spaces was the reason for the fainting and being sick.

Im pretty easy to scare and was not even rattled.

cheers

Was looking at the warick castle site and its actually set up by the same people that did the london dungeons. I think it siad for £45 you caan have a 3 course meal there by candle light veggie option too and then when its dark they take you round the dungeons. Evening lasts from 7.30 -11. Sounds good but I think i'd still rather see enigma again more.

Having been to Warwick Castle recently, i'm very dubious that any of their exhibits are scary enough that they should be changed... People are just being silly...

Excellent... I want to go now. The last time I was that freaked out was walking through the underground catacombs in Paris. Napoleon saw the ones in Rome and true to his notorious complex, decided he wanted Paris to have an underground ossiary that was bigger, longer and darker. So he had his flunkys dig up every cemetry within 100 miles of Paris to provide the 'building blocks'.
The result was the 3 miles of dank dimly lit dripping tunnel I went down just after opening time. It's about 2 thirds of a mile before you get to the bones, and the corridor is flanked with pitch dark open doorways leading to who knows what. I was the first tourist down (I didn't see anyone go down ahead of me) and just as my nerves were suitably jangled and I reached the bit with the bones in, I saw a ghostly figure in uniform through the dank cold mist, in the middle distance, surrounded by bones slumped in a chair.
I nearly pissed myself.
It turned out to be the museum guard! But even once I'd got used to that, and started walking past human remains stacked up on both sides of a long corridor five foot deep five foot high, it gradually dawned on me after an hour's steady walking that there was still no end in sight and I'd spent the best part of 2 hours in a damp claustrophobic subterranean corridor walking past endless musty dead people. I started to panic and literally sprinted the remaining mile as fast as I could. It was like one of those running through syrup nightmares where you just can't seem to escape the creepy haunted house and you wake up in a cold sweat! Now that's a great place for freaking people out. I want to go back soon ;)

Frequent horror films watchers probably will not dislike it either I guess. I myself dont feel a need to go there. Read enough about it here and there and visualized quite simply. These methods ... just let them creep upon yourself by picturing them done to yourself .. live them ... and feel .... how surreal reality may seem ..
