Aliens have broken out all over the New York sewer system and are just waiting to adapt to our environment before attacking us via out water supply!!!
OK – so that’s not true but watch the video and let your mind wander before you head out in to the internet and find there is a perfectly normal explanation for it – or you could just full screen the video and freak your friends out with it.
To save people the trouble of looking they look like clumps of annelid worms, tubificids apparently but its according to a reply on youtube so if anyone definately knows please tell me its very interesting.
I think that will give me nightmares, or possibly just insomnia. It looked like tendons… ugh. Actually, reminded me of a short story called The Derelict, where people raided a ‘boat’ that turned out to be alive.
Possibilities seem to be that it’s:
- A hoax of some kind
- Annelid worms covered in mucus (tubifex?)
- Bryozoan organisms
- Mould/fungus/bacteria
- Video of something’s insides
- ALIEN LIFE FORM
None of which make my skin crawl any less.
I have an aquarium, and the first thing I thought was: “wow, that looks just like a giant mass of …” and it was confirmed during a short Google search. It’s funny stuff: it almost seems liquid or pudding-like, when half-emerged in water. When not, you realise that it’s not something most people would like for dessert. Fish love it though.
Google this, it will take you on a great journey meeting conspiracy nuts (“Well, of course the government and scientists will say it’s …! They would hardly say it if there really was an alien life-form down there, would they?”), commentators that seems delighted that there favourite games and movies have come to life (“omg! Resident Evil!” “It looks like the stuff on the walls of Silent Hill!” “Halo3! Kill it with your spiker!” “Zerg!” “Kill it, it might drop loot!”) and people that are simply disgusted (“Eww! I didn’t want to see pig intestines!” “Well… I puked.”)

Never seen a thing like that but it indeed seems to be the annelid worms like scott mentioned.
I saw somewhere a vid in which they take out whole balls of those out of a creek (polluted), size bowling ball, and then they shoot them to pieces for fun … (how bored people can get).
I can imagine that if you run into these worms for the first time .. you really will look at it in amazement (here on vid that is already the case but live … I myself did not see on the vid very clear that it was worms .. it indeed looked as one body .. I read somewhere that when one worm moves/contracts .. the rest of the worms around that one will do it too, at least that’s how they explained it … It seems to me they want to go up … into the pipe …
