I watched some program on the TV the other day where they actually put a person into a MRI and ask that person to think of different objects like a hammer, sailboat, jacket etc and they are able to determine in what order the objects were thought about.
The reporter who was doing the story had asked to be put into the test on the spot and they were able to determine 10 for 10 the order of the objects that she was told to think about.
They are now only able to determine orders of previously selected objects but feel in the future that they will be able to get more details.
Wish I knew, or at least could recall, where I had seen this program.
Wouldn’t most of us want to do a lot of experiments in the MRI in this area?
The prefrontal lobe is quite active … you can actually feel when you are working it from there … and it can cause dizzyness as well … but then you have to loose touch with another circuitry I guess … and you have to focus from another area … otherwise it wont trigger so much inside and up there ..
Oh well .. there are different types of dizzyness .. caused in the brain area … partially by your own being … but due to a lack of experience we can not prevend ourselves always from these things. Learning about yourself and the limits of the brain by getting involved in these things is sometimes the only way .. or a good way to satisfy your own interest.
Interactive brains .. also a nice way to look up interactions between people … Ever noticed why one goes up when the other is down? And vice versa. I use up and down as it feels like that in my system. My up may be a down in someone else’s system. It’s a personal thing I guess. How you can boost someone’s psyche on the other side in certain direction .. or let someone loose steady ground …. or boost them back to the inside … draw them out of theirselves … twirl around them so that they can’t see anything anymore except some feeling .. reason or other socializing structures no longer work … You can trigger gay-like structures in straight guys (well, gay like may not be really gay things, but the gay like we refer to in the daily world quite often). Or make someone very aware of his/her self … put them back inside but in a way that they feel special .. Even if that was not the main goal or idea of the other one. Weird behaviour can cause weird things if taken too serioius or if people are too polite. The standard system in social systems is quite often that both will work the same system … if possible .. only then it goes smooth ..
Oh well … lots too say about interactions .. between brains … not people .. brains … hahaha …. (I’m too old … I see brains .. no longer normal human interactions ..), what’s next????
Oh, one more comment … Derren B. (mis)uses the interactive brain …. so is he a puppet player then? Playing his own brain and that of others? Normally others will grant him permission ofcourse, well, most of the time …
I once saw an educational poster in a biology lab at a college, describing the various facets of zones of the brain. One nugget of information stuck in my head [presumably the bit which processes memories] that we all have a “fear centre” and some sadist had done studies on monkies where they’d removed this fear centre and placed them in an enclosure with a lion. Apparently the monkey test subject showed no fear of the lion, even up to the point the lion was chewing it.
I don’t know if this is one of those urban myth type factiods, but I would’ve thought that self preservation would’ve kicked in at the point of registering pain and linking that with the act of being chewed by a lion. Can anyone who understands brains and monkeys shed any light on this?
That’s sickening – I really hope it was indeed just an urban myth.
Dougless, that sounds vaguely familiar. I may have seen it too, or heard about it somewhere. It’s fascinating just how far we’ve managed to come in our understanding of the workings of the human brain.
Where is the “I must not strangle the kids even when they draw on the sofa” bit?

Well, I learned something today. I’m a little older, and a little wiser

What? That’s not news? Wah ….
