Guys here would love that ofcourse. Can’t believe that that is still going on in India, maybe I should check with my Indian colleagues at work (many nationalities at work).
The way they put it out here … that the weather gods will be that embarrassed that they will sent down lots of rain … eheheh .. it’s not very religious this way of thinking.

Anyhow .. when I read the headliner it made me think of a commercial for .. erm .. can’t remember .. I think it was cheese but not sure .. in which naked women run over a ploughed field .. the fact that you could see that they had a bit trouble walking normal made it a bit weird … they also went through a ditch and such .. And all that made me def. not focus on what the commercial was trying to bring to our attention .. I think cheese, but dont know why .. does not make sense .. so, probably not.
They must have felt a bit weird .. those women! So here they have naked girls running in fields as well … to manipulate the weather in people .. to let it rain money ..

What’s the betting that this trusted social custom was thought up by the men in the village rather than it originating as a suggestion from the unmarried daughters.

‘hey honey, you know what I think will make it rain? How about we ask next doors daughter to run about in the fields naked?’ followed by: ‘ If you really loved me and wanted the best for the village, you’d allow me to appeal to the gods in this way’
