I have indeed been asked to introduce a 3D magic show (of magicians’ acts in 3D) as part of the C4 season, which I have no doubt will be terrific, but this isn’t a new special from me (which the Mail makes it seem a little like). Just so you know. I’ll be presenting, and bloody charmingly, but the brilliance will come from the acts I’m introducing. Mind-reading sadly doesn’t lend itself too well to 3D.

If they were to insert mind reading to it, I guess they could add some CGI-3D effects to it, like a flow of a ghostly wind that transports itself from the “slave” (the person being mind-readed) to the “master” (the mind-reader – Derren Brown)

Good stuff Derren, however when you think about it, 3D is a form of mind control.
You are tricking the brain into thinking that something is there which isn’t.
Perhaps you need to create an IMAX film!!!
That’s a shame, cos as you said, it certainly did sound like the show was your own. But even if you’re just introducing it Derren, and as I’ve always loved magic (and esp in 3D) I shall definitely still watch.

For added realism there aught to be a giant fan we could attach to the side of the TV to get the genuine sensation of that giant wind machine David Copperfield uses to blow wind through his hair!

It was only last night that I remembered that some of the Enigma programme was printed in 3D. It’ll be interesting to use the specs on the programme to see if there’s anything we’ve missed.
