Ever wondered whether the dreams of Sci-Fi could be a reality?
Internationally acclaimed physicist Michio Kaku’s book, “Physics of the Impossible” does just that.
From UFO’s to Force Fields Michio tells us (with our current knowledge of the laws of physics) which Sci-Fi ideas could become a reality and why.
It’s amazing to think scientists have ALREADY teleported atoms across a room or under the Danube River!
Check it out
P.S Yes, I had a fantastic holiday.

Hmmm…….. “Physics of The Impossible”
You’ve got to admit it is a snappy title, and when coupled with a cool photo of a guy that looks like he might have his own range of martial art/stir fry cookware on the side, it is almost certainly a must-read.
Cx
Nice l ight racism with a touch of cynicism there, Caroline.
honestly – reminds me of the tv series ‘heroes’
glad u had a well deserved holiday coops.
I love stuff like this
It’s got good reviews on Amazon too!
I’ve just started reading Time Travel in Einstein’s Universe, which I’m told is well worth a read
Does creating an exact copy of a particle across the room and then destroying the original count as teleportation?
Michio Kaku… saw him in a documentary on the National Geographic Channel, he’s cool. Shall get the book when I have some money to spare.
Looks good!…Welcome back Coopsy
Does Caroline even realise she’s being racist there? At least the bleeding BNP are honest. Kinda.
If anyone is interested, here’s a Guardian podcast interview with Kaku about his book that was released a few weeks ago. http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/audio/2009/jun/11/michio-kaku-physics-impossible
Welcome back Coops!
I read this one a while back… some very interesting stuff. Michio is not only a smart guy… but he’s able to relate it to the average person – nice choice.
Rob, didn’t you know? Most people still don’t seem to realise that it’s racist to blow up stereotypes of East Asian people. Alas.
Michio Kaku is too smart for his own good.
Cool cool.. that’s next on my purchase list ! Bo)
The cover could have been done better by penguin publication…looks dodgy.
We need new sci fi t… create the impossible back again in there … for the time being that is.
Teleporting atoms .. hm .. so they could teleport us then … although .. not sure how we would end up on the other side of the room then .. or how they would need to ‘adjust’ our atoms a bit before to make it work … ehehehe …
Sounds like a nice book. I’ve read a few pieces now and there on this topic here and there in the past, but not a whole book. The articles did not have the same focus.
Ooh! I own this book, and I’m up to time travel. Very interesting stuff.
Life changing Book!
If I could only give ten books to a child for their schooling this would be one of them.
