For those of you not in the know – the Camden fringe is on. There’s plenty of fringe acts to get your freak-on to.
The 2009 Camden Fringe adds up 399 performances of 118 different shows across 4 venues. They have a fantastic, electic mix of acts which this year includes new writing, stand-up, children’s shows, storytelling, new twists on Shakespeare, a bit of poetry, musicals, dance, OAP rappers, a mind-reader, a medium, sketch comedy and a quiz.
Plenty of it occurs at the Camden roundhouse – a venue worth going to see any act at just for the venue. It’s history includes acts such as Hendrix and the Doors and has a fantastic vibe. I’ll be looking forward to the mind reader S1L3NC3 a darker-than-usual act and Gary Coleman who is really very funny and made me wet myself laughing twice in one night.
