*sob* Well done to the winners. I spent the last 3 days with my poor fading eyesight going through the superb Portraits book that I bought for my partner’s birthday last month. Can I ask you to stick a closing date on comps in future so I don’t sit here sulking like this? Or on the other hand let me have a set as compensation? (You had my email well before you announced the winners, so I *am* telling the truth…) Ta muchly
This competition just proved to me (if proof were needed) how good DB’s portraits are: For three of the portraits I got the right answer just by looking at the eye, thinking who it looked like, and then double checking on DB’s art website. The ones I got in this way were Pitt, Norton and Marsden.
Well done to the winners, I don’t think I even got these right!!
Mind you not too upset as I FINALLY bought the lovely Portraits book yesterday, funnily enough the girl in the shop asked me ‘Is that by that hypnotist guy who does I can make you thin?’, don’t worry I set her straight (at some length!)
