Yes – we lost a competition. We dropped enough hints as to where it might be and eventually one of you found it for us here. Congratulations to Claire T who will receive a bunch of goodies.
A lot of you feel the need to email us a word or phrase in order to win. But in each case it is something you must DO (Then email us). Thanks for all those that sent in bizarre pics – to the poor guy who felt the need to paint his toenails black?! and to the several people who took to wearing skirts (skirts = tricks backwards). Well done but your not quite there.
Next competition will start on Monday and will require you to know some information about The Events so keep an eye out for info and see if you can find out what is going to happen on the shows.

@Colin – FINDING, TINY, MISSING could all be clues. More recently today and yesterday ‘Tricks for COOPS’, the capitalised text saying ‘LOOK FOR HIDDEN ITEMs’ and ‘Emergencies inspire crowd COOPeration panic’. The last one – perhaps :p

@Stephen – yeah, i’ve spotted the words in caps (also: TEA, LOST, MASSIVE), but wondered if there was any hint in an image or other text which pointed to the post on the 10/11/08 specifically…
@Nicky – The guy who painted his toenails black has NOTHING on my embarassment. What makes it worse is that I made the first phonecall at 3am! Not to mention me saying “er” after every sentence. I was completely unprepared.
I do find it interesting that Saturday morning’s bolg post did decode to an actual phone number though.

Hey, thanks everyone for all the congrats, I never win anything so yay! (I know people always say that but honest it’s true).
I terms of clues, it’s like someone has already commented up there earlier, the capitals spelt ‘Look For Hidden Item’ and this week there have been 2 posts about Coops or with the word Coop in them so I decided to look there first. It took some trawling through the pages but I was obsessed with it so I persevered. The backwards text looked odd so it stood out (I am an editor, so I should be the one to spot it really).
Can’t wait for the next one, just for the fun of it. If I get any ideas I will try to help as much as I can now I’ve got my share of goodies. Good luck!

Ive worked out what hes saying on the advert and on the retsehcnamdetinu.com website and there has been loooaaads of speculation on the internet about what little things on the advert represent (like the opening credits for trick or treat) but its not very…reliable?
anyway.

theres a seperate website listing what each of derrens four events are. (im not sure if its true or not…)

This blog was made about 9 months ago, in November 2008, with the backwards text inserted at a later date as a “hidden competition”.
Recent blogs have contained clues as to the location of this “hidden competition”
Claire was the first one to spot this.

Speaking of The Events, I thought the first one was supposed to be on the 9th of September (09/09/09 and all that…) – but I just saw an advert that said it was on the 11th..? Is it not live, then?

And @ Sally – Yes, I really did decide to trawl through every post – I wanted to win that much and have nothing else better to do!
I started with the archives for August, saw that ‘Coop’ came up a few times. Mr Coops has his own blog catergory so I trawled through that scanning all the pics and text to see if I spotted anything. It took about 2 hours and then finally the backwards text stood out cause it looks funny compared to the rest of the post as reading it forwards it doesn’t make sense. When you read it back it says you have won and to email Phillis. So I did and huzzah, I won. The headache and eye strain paid off.

it is on the 9/09/09 but parts have been pre-recorded as per the threads back in Feb when you could win tickets. The 11th I assume will be the sunday repeat.
