Madonna – aka Esther – has become increasingly spiritual in recent years, thanks to her devotion to Kabbalah or Jewish mysticism.
Ever the polymath, she has now been recruited as a religion correspondent by Israel’s most popular newspaper and in her first column has written movingly about her ‘conversion’ to the esoteric belief system. “Life no longer seemed like a series of Random (sic) events,” she writes. “I began to see that being Rich and Famous (sic) wasn’t going to bring me lasting fulfilment and that it was not the end of the journey.”
Other neo- Kabbalists have included celebrities such as Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and (briefly) Britney Spears, but it is the Catholic-born Madonna who is the exemplary devotee.

I’m not really in favor of her religious input in her work .. It’s a bit weird that she becomes a correspondent in Israel …. why not one of their own people … What’s Madonna’s connection anyhow with Israel? And she hardly can be called someone who will have good views on things … considering the fact that she is way too rich and does not have or lead a normal life … will colour her views on lots of things. She lacks being in touch with real life, with the core of what drives people.

She is surely in a very powerful position to change the believes of people around the world, the music culture controls minds very easily, in a way singers are the gods of new generations, the generations would do anything for the singers of the world and would replicate their acts.
I surely think she missed the point of Esther aka Ishtars or innana´s goal in the ancient days…wondering why she might not all together become a priest in the roman church…hey ho

Here’s something interesting,
On August 15th, Madonna is going to perform in Warsaw, Poland. The thing is that her forthcoming performance raised quite a big controversy in Poland (since its being a very catholic country). Some groups of religious devotees has tried to prevent Madonna from coming to Warsaw on this particular day because it’s the holiday of Mother Mary whom Madonna is said to imitate.
The title “Madonna becomes a religion correspondent” just sounded funny in light of this incident, for me
As these catholics mainly are the older ones who would not go to the concert anyhow … I think t’s about time that they start to see that they are not the only ones living in Poland. I myself know a few of the younger polish ones claiming to be sort of catholic .. but they never go to a church .. nor pray … and for sure dont live a catholic life (far from that, that is .. Madonna is a saint next to those ..). It’s those younger ones they dont need to listen to either .. the dont have a clue what they are babbing about … it’s not even coming from their mind .. Maybe all of those in favor of staying in the old days could be thrown in part of the world with many others from other countries where they can do their thing … It wont work long … I’m sure about that …
Peope should stop taking musical artist so serious in this area. Geeeeezzzz ….. Use your brain.
yeah, you’re right, that’s the problem with polish young people apart from some academic circles. Not to mention the elderly who perceive every non-believer to be a communist. I’m from Poland myself… and it’s a great country in many aspects…but the incidents like the one with Madonna is a common one… greetings
