The Jesuits used to say (as did Adolph Hitler) 'give us a child until he is seven and he will be ours for life'. When you've seen children from about the age of three having the precepts of the Koran drummed into their heads you realise that the Jesuits were only amateurs when it comes to brain washing. They prefer to be in their feminine role .. escape their depressed psyches ... It will take time in other countries ofcourse .. as in Mali .. to see upon those tihngs differently. Some might not see it as usefull at all right now. I will admit that I have a very western view of how woman fit into a civil society but still, regardless of religion or where you are born, to be brought up with the knowledge that we as women are second class citizens is ridiculous!!!! I am just glad that people like Emmeline Pankhurst had the guts to stand up for what she believed was right and change the world for the better. This sort of thing angers me to my very core. It needs to be brought in gradually shomehow, so that it is not such a drastic change for them. And somehow make it seem o.k in the eyes of their religion.
