I’m not convinced that it is painted … I would have to see it first with my own eyes close up to the painting, live. The resolution of pictures on the internet is not good enough to judge them .. so by just viewing them you can’t tell whether those have been painted or not.
Why would you lie by the way .. about your work .. especially when it concerns art … Let’s hope he speaks the truth. If he does .. it def. does look almost unbelieveable .. at least on the internet. That’s apart from whether I like the art itself, the themes/topic in the painting. I myself dont find them that incredible in that area, so it is mainly about the fact that they do look like photographs then I guess … the technique.
I can’t paint at all, but anyhow …

I’m not so impressed, there are hundreds of paiinters who have the skills & technique to do this work (if they are in fact actually paintings) – this does not make them art.
The confusion created in us by their identity being uncertain (foto – painting) is only of passing interest (IMO).
I agree that it is impressive for anyone to be able to paint as accurately as this. However I dont see the attraction in buying something that aspires to look exactly like a photograph when surely an actual photograph would give the same effect and be just as asthetically (sorry if that’s spelt wrong) pleasing for a fraction of the cost?
But what is art, NJH? It shows the painting process on his website, they’re not photos, but each to their own, everyone has different taste.

Derrens “card shuffling” Trials clip with the man walking in the background was made to look as though it was going forward, but was actually going backwards.
There seems to be a lot of “going backwards in the same way it would look going forwards” going on….

His work is about as realist as you can get & beautiful. Love his painting ‘No Quarter’. What I love about realist painters is that they have option of painting a realist image in any composition they choose, so the art becomes the eye of the artist, not the accuracy of the image alone.
