I used to live in the UK and I really miss channel 4 and the BBC. You don’t realize how good your TV channels are compared to the crap (sorry) they put on telly in Spain.

I’m interested to know how you plan to predict the lottery, as.. the very concept of the lottery is unpredictable, even if you analysed patterns the odds of gaining an advantage over ‘the house’ are in the millions. We’ll see.

I am so looking forward to this. Can’t actually see the videos while at work so I imagine the excitement will be heightened tonight when I get home (and I’d planned to do the dusting – damn you Mr Brown for keeping me from my jobs!!). All the build up is fab – even got my Mum into it all.

‘Predict’ the lottery? But AFTER the lottery? I reckon, not predict the NUMBER but predict the number of PEOPLE playing certain numbers. Which, of course, you wouldn’t be able to verify until after the draw. And of course everyone has obediently trotted out to buy their ticket

While everyone’s getting excited about the ‘lottery draw’ itself, I’m kind of hoping that in the first ‘Event’ Derren will examine the reason why so many of us still believe that a fourteen million to one gamble is still worth taking each week.
Kudos to Derren for persuading the nation to use their ‘little grey cells’ in an attempt to work out what’s actually going on………nothing short of genius in fact.

Only the smartest people express their fear of something that might affect themselves negatively. However, most of them win or succeed. I don’t see any other possibility than Derren getting most of the numbers right. I mean, come on, he played russian roulette with himself and won – only a human being is not 100% reliable and/or exploitable, a machine or a lottery system surely is…

sooooo excited!!! Derren did look slightly unsure there, although he always seems to say it ‘might not work’ or he’s ‘not really sure whats going to happen’…but i never tend to believe him…at the end of the day, he’s Derren Brown after all, of course it will work and it will be stupendous!
I did my work experience with camelot so I have how the lottery works from the inside out and I know for a fact that there is no way to correctly predict all the numbers that will come up in any draw. Apart from luck that is. Unless Derren uses a similar method as ‘the system’ and not play the lottery with just 1 ticket but with lots, then it is simple not possible. I’m really looking forward to being proved wrong and blown away =]
For those of you asking the ‘Little glass box lying under a table’ is a reference to Alice in Wonderland. I think the box contained the cake with ‘Eat Me’ written on it. Think about it… I cant make out why there are so many variations of “The Numbers” floating about? Some stating six numbers not 5. I’m trusting my instincts & playing the odds with the 5 hinted at in the 2 official releases, covering 42×5 – 1×5+1 – 1×6. Although I have discovered hotpicks and looking into whether this is a way to better the risk/reward ratio.. Derren… a kind word in my direction if I am being literally conned by you would be nice, or are you going to re-imberse people if they lose money using your tip? The fact its impossible to predict is a strong deterrent which is probably the point of it all.
I was helping a mate with some stuff tonight and when she came round a bit late I was relieved as I was running late myself due to my inability to wrench myself away from this site, which I admitted to. Turns out, she’s one of the public doing a bit of filming for King Derren! Couldn’t believe it. And I have to say I’m more than a bit jealous, as I’d also like to be made to stick to my sofa by the man himself. I know, I know – behave… But she didn’t know there was a blog!!! Her life is over now, she’ll never get out of the house.

glass box under a table … hm .. I actually first read only the glass box .. which made sense … bu under a table??? Is it a counter then, and are you, or is this blog the selling shop … is it very valuable and untoucheable .. what is in the glass box .. and as we all know what is in it .. we all want it … but still can not get to it .. which makes it even more frustrating … is it money? I prefer to have that just like normally in my wallet or in my bank account. Money in a glass box makes no sense. Maybe it is the most valuable stuff that has been for sale (well .. not really for sale) from under the counter. Loved how Derren led that guy into drawing a cat with stripes in the Lottery aftershow. By doing things such as the inverted commas with his fingers (creating the image of ears) speaking like Ren and Stimpy (leading him to potentially draw a rat/mouse) and numerous other techniques such as saying “don’t draw a stick figure or a house”- the guy had no choice other than draw a cat…classic!
Was just wondering or am i the only one thats noticed RED 12. Lots of red in the advert for the events and we are now told there is an episode on how to take down a casino. Notice the RED 12 in the credits or whatever its called at the start of each episode. A roullete wheel and the ball falls into RED 12. Interesting no?
