Arison — billionaire ($2.7 by Forbes’s most recent estimate), perhaps the richest woman in the Middle East, a major force in Israeli philanthropy — claims that she can see the future.
“Over the years I suffered much from the visions, the feelings and these messages . . . I prayed they would go away. They brought much pain to my life. This was the preparation for the current phase, the phase in which I am ready to declare what I know with courage and without fear.”
Washington Post (thanks, Kirsty)

interesting. Wonder if there’s any way of backing her visions up – like on friday,s event that bloke saying he knew where the girl was and it was really vague.
I’m glad she’ll hopefully put the money to good use to help humankind and fairies – once she has furnished the yachts – but, really… Hasn’t she got enough dosh banged away already? Didn’t she have a slightly better idea for a best-seller – like a good ‘How to be a successful business-woman (inherit your dad’s name and fortune) in a power-mad-man’s land? Well, maybe she does believe it all, who knows… You have to invest in something when you have all that time and money on your hands, dontcha?
This is intresting , i don’t know if people can see the future or not? but i do think it as alot to do with energy for example a mother knows what a child does not say and its all to do with bonds believing and relationship building and the love you shaire. which to do these there a energy that is formed which gives that rushing feeling of so something is wrong or they are near or in need maybe this is wrong i don’t know? i do not hold all the answer’s. but i do trust that rushing feeling i have had dreams since my dad died of loved once dieing like my uncle for example and i woke up crying of so apart of me was gone and that he had gone. I was only about 8 my Mum put me in the bottom of brothers bed and i went back to sleep, but in the morning my mum said he had died ,em
She might be able to see the future, but the photographer seems to be more interested in the lemon!
it is not uncommon, the concept exists in every culture, the ability is named in many languages, as far back as sanskrit, and there are techniques for developing the ability ..
pity none of them work
I like her lemon.
I wish I could do preditions. How is it related to being rich????
C’mon ANYBODY who is a fan of Derren should KNOW without doubt that this is not possible… she is using trickery just like the rest of them!
(my ‘security text’ contained the number 42. HA)
As she doesn’t need the money, she may genuinely believe it? Delusions of grandeur? I dunno…
So, when’s Derren’s self-help book coming out? Come on, I’m fed up with the whispy crap that’s out there. I already understand how I tick – I’ve done enough tocking. Just give me the bag of tools and I’ll be on my way.
I predict she’ll fail any test spectacularly, or cheat.
I’d like for her to predict something months ahead on quite a massive scale, and then sit back and see if it happens. But am assuming she can only predict certain events that ‘come’ to her? Do I believe it? Don’t know…..
LC x
Maybe she should save the $2.7 bill for a probable tumor that may cause visions?
Yes, I want a blue-white-wall, as behind the fence, for my house…like that really nice, maybe a lemon painted on it also hmm sweet
Seeing the future isn’t what you think..
It’s putting the logic together. What do you already know?
All humans work their feelings and information together, if you are connected with people you understand a perspective of more than just your self conscious, this means you have a better idea of reality because you can feel more than one expression of life.. Which is more about the reality we live in together.
If we were all consciously together we would know earth like we know ourself, and the same way we make our own life, we all consciously together make the future..
yeah you right derren as said an shown how all works. but isome people believe that they can see the future and everyone needs something to believing its a fact and it is wrong to question someones believes don’t you think ?matbe im just a soft arse i don’t know . but yeah like lemon on pic Lol!maybe thats whats telling her the future.. so sorry that was ugly of me i just did what i did not want to im going to et on now somuch to do so little time to do it in,em
It’s autumn now, maybe if she sat a wee bit closer to that lemon it might just knock the narcissism out of her…
Jesus christ, that’s some bad English.
If she made the money herself at least she would be the first Psychic that I ever heard of that used said visions of the future for some personal gain at least. I mean seriously thats the first tip off that a person claiming the ability to see the future would be a fraud cause they come up with some stupid excuse why they don’t ‘see’ the lotto or even what to invest in. I am not saying humankind is innately greedy (well maybe I am) but there is something to be said for giving yourself at least a little of a leg up even just for marketing purposes! Lets face it we look to Warren Buffett for predictions (granted there is no claim its based on psychic phenomena) his abilities have a success indicator thats hard to argue with (how much he is worth).
Think, she watched too many episodes of ‘medium’…..
, I like the lemon
she can believe what she likes its her thoughts on this 30/08/09 article whether i choose to believe this is up to me. Predicting after the event is always easy
I love lamp, sorry lemon.
the fruit is prolly an etrog, not a lemon
btw
I ´snif´….think ´snif´ …. she used lemon-shampoo, yesh, look at the shiny-yellow glow on her teeth
No no like lemon! but i think she stole my carrot!
Oh, such a poor soul … the money must has gotten to her brain structures ..
Do you think anyone would be interested in my book on The Paranormal Activities of Mobile Phones? I swear my phone is stealing my mind braincell by braincell. No, I don’t have a rich dad. Does that matter when it comes to selling self-delusional, self-help books? Oh it does? Damn!
Bunny, you’re not the rabbit we’re waiting on, are you?
There is a theory that geniuses tend to generate numerous ideas and then select the best solution from the options. This is exactly the same kind of technique that was demonstrated by the so called “remote viewer” on the recent Derren Brown episode. (to avoid confusion: It isn’t just the technique of a genius ).
This makes me think about the times when I have been really anxious and my mind has been racing. I get so many thoughts and images going through my head that it is little wonder that at around these times I will frequently experience bizarre pairings of thoughts and life experiences. I wonder if this is the experience of those claiming to have premonitions. It really is an uncanny & often unpleasant sensation, but it is presumably akin to déjà vu and in no way otherworldly.
I have to side on the fence of believing some humans can predict the future because it has happened to me before and it wasn’t pleasent. A few years ago i was waiting for a train at my local station with my mother, we were waiting for a Thames Valley train. Whilst waiting an Intercity train sped through the station and for no reason whatsoever i had some vision in my head of an Intercity train crashing and this part one of the spooky part, i turned to my mother and we both said ‘wouldn’t it be terrible if an Intercity crashed into a Tames Valley train’ , we both dimissed it though as just an odd thought until 3 days later i was at the same station when my Thames train arrived….will continue story in next bit lol…
Well for some reason a voice popped into my head telling me not to get on it,…well i dismissed it and thought i have to get on i have ameeting to get to. Well i tell you now i have never felt so insecure on a train in my entire life like i did on that journey, i had to actually get off 2 stops in because i couldn’t take the weird feeling anymore, well i decided to head home and sod the meeting so to say and as i made it through the door i found my mother hysterical on the phone to my father because she thought i was dead…..the very train i had been on was the very train that went on to be the Paddington Rail Crash….premonition, future telling, you decide…i only know one thing…i listen much more to my inner concious then i ever did before.
@JayKay, have you ever seen a chicken lay big-yellow eggs?
in a tree! Her chicken did that,
logical answer, either she is lying or she has genetically evolved to be able to receive brain waves from people that she is picking up the information from
@ Bunny – that’s a nimble chicken to get up there.
@ Jay – I’ve done the same sort of thing myself – our 15th anniversary was Sept 11th and we were planning a visit to the twin towers as the last time we went it was foggy. We didn’t go. Dunno why we get those feelings, but like you, I tend to trust my instincts. I watched a kid swimming in a lake once – there were loads of folks in the water – and I had a horrible feeling about him which I dismissed. And 20mins later the police arrived and I looked over, knowing it would be his family distraught. They found his body tangled in weeds in the water shortly after and I’ll always remember feeling stunned. But then, I’ve had the same feeling many times, gotten off tubes and thankfully nothing has happened. Who knows if it’s all terrible coincidence or a matter of maths and relativity?
But one things for sure, I don’t think instincts are secret powers and I ain’t selling books on my (lately rather vivid) dreams. I think maybe perhaps a touch of depression could be a factor Mrs Arison’s altered state of mind.
The times you remember your feelings/predictions are usually when they come true. You may have such thoughts quite a lot, but you only consciously recall them when they’re linked to an actual event happening.
@Sam Not Spam – Nah… I disagree. I haven’t heard of many tube trains being blown up after I decided to get off a stop early cos I had a vague feeling…
No, but you may have got off the train before then and because nothing happened, simply forgotten the event. And not specifically you, people in general. It’s similar to when you think about someone and then they phone – are you psychic? No, you only remember thinking about them because they then phoned.
