What do I do?!
I think the “hairy bears” message has scarred me for life =/
ROFL
@APRIMEZ just play around with each of the settings to generate a film with a different subliminal message.
This was available from before. When I tried this the other day, there was a photo flash cube advert film with ALOT of flashes during it, but it’s not available now…
i did this the other day, the flashy camera one annoyed the poop out of me, couldnt get it out of my head lol but funnily enough i never got the urge to dance with hairy half naked fat men
i also found it infuriating that i couldnt see the subliminal messages while in normal speed. damn my slow as conciousness!
x
Flashcube? Flashcube!
As a hippie, I salute the efforts you are making for my people.

cool cool
I couldn’t stop laughing while watching the ‘slow-mo’ of the Dancing Bears… – so, erm… Derren – what has this done to me? (Anything else we should know about) – Feel free to explain tonight?
So yeah, that was good fun – didn’t see a thing during the real-time play.
Hmm. I watched the dancing bears one but I couldn’t see them at all. I mean, of course I saw them in the slow-mo version but then when I watched it again and really focused I couldn’t see anything. Is this just a joke or does my mind just work too slowly. Oh, and the bears weren’t even hot!
I loveylovey biigfuwry beaars
Felt nowt. But then I did have a wine too many last night, so the head is a bit duh-lled this morning. Cripes, it’s afternoon. Maybe it’s age. Recently listened to some sound frequencies in a workshop and found that the youngsters could still hear the screaming noise, whilst those of us over 40 were just… deaf to it. My sight’s going too… Ach, God’s a bitch.
i covered the options with my hand and clicked it lots of times without looking so i had a random one, and then tried to guess which message it would be while watching it, then looking at the slow motion to see if i was right. i got the first 2 out of 3 guesses right. does this mean that subliminal messages work on me but then i become imune to them? is this a trick and my correct answers were lucky guesses? is my mind trying to assign a logical pattern where no logcal pattern exists? is my inherent human predeliction for creating superstition around an event clouding my ablity to rationalise? oh derren you blow my mind.
“Dancing bears”…. LMAO!!
Is that suppose to make me dance like a bear _whitout_ my clothes on?!
Bears don’t dig on dancin’
Well sadly for me i’m the type that has to have a go at each and every one f them because my overly curious nature would mean i’d be having some type of menatl breakdown if i didn’t see them all. However i truly wish i hadn’t seen the dancing bears….there was me hoping for a cuddly teddy or something and instead i get several Bigfoot run outs…….best one has to be the doughnuts…showed it to my friend earlier and then later whilst we were driving i said i felt hungry so she stopped at Krispy Creme…coincidence or not ha ha ha.
Are these just jokes? I downloaded one of the videos so I could watch frame by frame, and couldn’t find any subliminal messages at all, apart from in the ‘reveal’. When I looked at the corresponding area in the original video.. nothing there. The one I looked at was hippie and cartoon.
Also, does the “american advertising archive” really exist? I can’t find anything online about it…
Am I taking this all too seriously?
And what’s with the ‘send this to a friend’ thing. Is this not a bitty irregular? I did it anyways – seeing as you subliminally FORCED me to.
Interesting reading re the supermarkets n stuff. I remember learning all this when I was a student years ago and part of my course was designing supermarket layouts. Yet I still fall for it most of the time. Every now and again I can have a small gloat that ‘they didn’t catch me this time’. But usually they do.
Methinks that this is not to be taken too seriously. Much fun though. I’ve sent the dancing bears one to a few of my male pals.
Loking forward to tonight.
GOOD LUCK tonight. Or whatever.
I HATE YOU DERREN, I’M NOW SCARRED FOR LIFE *sobs in corner*
Well, those videos sure gave me a craving for those tasty-looking “hotdoggie” “goodies”
Maby just my imagination, but in the film did anyone else see a circle or ring formed of words? kind of in front of the lines? probably just my mind messing with me, but i didnt stick…
Calling those that have followed the blog for a long time! Hi! Im posting on this topic because the ones directly related to the lottery and to the sofa sticking are choc-a-block. I wanted to ask the dedicated DB fans (the ones who followed this blog before the events, took part in the hidden competitions etc) what they think of the latest programmes. I am a bit confused myself-we all know derren doesnt believe in anything psychic and is even out to prove psychics as fake (take his oracle act for example). Yet in his lottery explanation he used ‘free writing’. I took that as a message to all that know him well to look deeper. So that left the fixing the machine explanation, but then the bus footage wasnt shown leaving the show feeling a little…unfinished? see my next post….
…continued. Then last night the sofa sticking was also strange. I dont know anybody who stuck, and couldnt help but feel the phone calls that were broadcast were fake. I expected to ring the number and get a message revealing something from DB, but got the engaged tone. That made me think that every person got the tone, so the call wasn’t charged so noone can complain when it was later revealed the whole thing wasnt real. At the end of the show i expected something like ‘haha! you thought i was making you stick to your sofa but infact i have been influencing you about something else that will be revealed later’. But nothing! I love Derrens work, and am in no way trying to put him down. I just feel theres more to all of this and wondered if any of you lot did too? Any suggestions?
i was here before the events etc (was debs) youre right, for us here we know that he didnt give the real lotto explanation. i think we will know in time, i mean there has been a blog post already about the icicle and the bus with the kids….i think all will be revealed in time, maybe after all the events are over.

i did get stuck though, i can assure you that part was real!

thanks very much for the reply, and nice to know im not the only one that thinks there is more to be revealed! also nice to know that the sticking definately worked for some people, as so many people i know weren’t affected. I still dont think the people they spoke to on the show were ringing in live, but again im not sure why. am enjoying the shows though, the clever bits before the main ‘events’ like frank the giraffe especially.
Hello Ellie. I don’t think the stuck to the sofa thing was staged, I’ve seens loads and loads of videos on YouTube of people who got stuck, too many for him to have hired them all and them all keep quiet. It didn’t work on me, but a few friends of friends got stuck. The live calls didn’t seem particularly dubious to me either.
I’m not sure that anymore will be revealed about the tricks, I think it’s better for a magician to leave you with either the wrong answer, or no answer at all as it keeps that mystery for people who don’t really want to know, and makes it more fun for the people who like to speculate and guess how he might have done the trick.
The last thing i want is to find out how everything is done because like you say, it would lose the sense of magic and intregue. When i said there may be more to it, I meant in the sense that DB could come out with something like ‘there are clues in the first four shows to a huge 5th event happening at christmas time’ or similar. Because he is a man of surprises and lots and lots of planning.
