If the solution is technical, “Optical Glyph Tracking” could do this trick.
The balls have symbols (glyphs) – recognized by the computer handling the broadcasting.
For the glyph on ball #1 they punch in the correct number (2 I think), and etc for the rest.
The video system then shows a correct computer generated number instead of the glyph.
To create a diversion and make us think less of CGI and greenscreen technology – they use a hand held camera.

I don’t know if this is THE way – but this is A way to accomplish this.

I could duplicate the same effect using Sportvision’s “1st and 10 Line” technology which virtually puts the numbers on blank white balls.

Well he got one of the numbers – 11. 1 out of 7 is… well it isn’t world champion of lottery numbers… I don’t even think it is “world champuion of lottry numbers”. It’s not even close to being worth £10….

Well done Derren – for putting up with such nut bags as well as correct on 6 out of 6 lottery balls!
