Oh my god. Tell you what lets just make the whole thing up and adjust the bible to the current moral and political thinking…oh hang on that’s what has been happening since the beginning. Surely the more they meddle with it the less relevant it becomes. When are US and fundamental Christians going to actually follow the teachings of Jesus? Rather than popping back to the Old Testament each time they want to hate people.
Is it lucky that they are a minority in the UK? But we have to make sure we are battling to not let keep their foothold in Parliament (Bishops in HoL), schools (stop religious selection), Media (thought for the day). Join secular society

JFrank Anastasio – you have a point… my philosophy tutor on my art course used to say if the bible is supposedly a paradigm on which all the tennets of Christianity are based, and you disagree with it you’re free to write your own, but what you wind up with won’t be the official guidelines. You can invent whatever religion you like, but it won’t be Christianity as such.
On that basis I ditched the whole thing. The book’s been translated so many times by partisan players it’s not worth the parchment it was originally written on. Besides, if it’s true, we’re all inbred from Adam and Eve onwards. (Anyone else notice Adam and Eve had no female offspring according to the version I read, so either Cain or Abel must’ve been a mo-fo!)

Okay, they are nuts, the Bible is NOT Liberal (The Old Testament Anyway). Have any of them READ Leviticus? If anything, its not Liberal enough.
