The skull of a prehistoric sea monster so large it could make mincemeat of a T Rex has been unearthed on the Dorset coast. The ferocious creature, called a pliosaur, terrorised the oceans 150million years ago during the time of the dinosaurs.
Experts say the 8ft-long skull is so big it could have belonged to one of the largest pliosaurs ever found – a monstrous predator measuring more than 52 foot in length.

There they go again, getting all fantastical on the Pliosaur’s ar*e. Just because it is big and eats living things on a daily basis it does not mean that it ‘TERRORISED’ anything or was ‘MONSTROUS’ . After all Brian Blessed has been around for years without having these adjectives banded about him.

What makes this find all the more impressive is that it was un earthed here in the UK…..a country that seems to be mainly famed for it’s gross over population of Iguandons and Baryonyx’s…..sorry i know way too many dinosaurs…i did study Paleontology for a good few years before getting distracted ha ha ha ha.
At last we were home to something so enormous and ferocious that would have practically eaten anything that moved within the sea at the time.
Would much rather have a Velociraptor or Deinonychus or even a Dilposaurus as a pet though.
