Okay right so this just appears and happens to be a verse from Qur’an? Sorry for being controversial and I don’t mean to offend anyone but this cannot be real. I think this Mother is playing a sick game to get attention. Using her baby to try and prove Allah really does exist. This actually makes my angry.
dis is confusing is it real? or is it some one writing on the babies legs?
or is allah doing it? why wasnt the writing in greek or english so does this mean islam is the way
or is this just another crock?
I guess it’s convenient that they understand the words that are written on his body – it wouldn’t do at all if Japanese kanji showed up on his leg and no one was around who could read it.
Why are these parents allowed to do this to their child? It’s clearly not natural, nobody is asking for this “miracle” to be verified. It’s another typical example of blind faith and the child is being abused in the process.
Someone should step in to investigate this, they are probably using some form of skin irritant to create the rash. No wonder the poor baby doesn’t feel well! Disgusting.
My bad, pleasant language only?
A ‘fever’ that lasts about 20 minutes, he has a high temperature, cries, and it’s hard to hold him…
Sounds like the typical symptoms of some kind of branding/ scolding
Wow, that’s actually quite amazing. When the narrative was saying that words from the Koran appeared on his body I kind of thought, yeah sure but I bet those words could just as easily be described as squiggles – but surprisingly that’s rather, clear.
I wonder if they could do some kind of skin-graph thing to see what causes it.
But that is really amazing – either that or he has some, less-than-tasteful, parents (but I doubt it )
Very weeeiird… But wait a second, why does that child nearly get sick every time that happens and there must be a reason why it is so hard to hold him then… Oh wait…
Poor kid…
Is it Munchausen’s syndrome, where a parent injures a baby as an attention seeking ruse? Did I have a post deleted, or did I just forget to click ‘submit’?
i you observe the mothers body language, she is very controlled and quiet with a high pitch this is an example of someone experiencing cognitive interference from trying to control ones deceptive action actions in front of scrutiny. It is a known phenomena known as the motivational impairment effect (DePaulo Lanier, & Davis 1983), also the rehearsal symptoms and lack of expression is another dead give away for deception. To bad

Just to prove it, lets take the baby away from the family for a couple of weeks and see if it stops, if it does then their god is clearly angry and has decided not to talk to them anymore, thus proving that it’s real. If that’s not proof enough then give the baby back and see if it appeases their god enough that he starts again.
You have to remember extra-ordinary claims require extra-ordinary proof. All that anyone is saying in this report is that they blindly believe this to be true. They have been indoctrinated from a young age and aren’t allowed the tools to question what is going on. No-one asked for any proof that this wasn’t a hoax, which would be quite easy to do. Until this sort of abuse is questioned and debunked ignorance will prevail.
There is a lot of possibilities as to what is going on here, the likelihood is that it is the most obvious. These people can’t see it because belief is coloured by desire.
Dissenter, it’s called Munchhausen’s by Proxy. And yes it quite possibly is. Kelly Banner, no it’s NOT amazing, it is sick! The child should be taken away and the parents prosecuted for child abuse.
I agree with all those who say it’s the parent’s desperate bid for attention. As someone else here hinted, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
I’m guessing he has an allergic reaction to something and mum or dad are handy with a paintbrush. If they did it under scientific test conditions and it still flared up after 24 hours (i.e remove him from the family overnight) it would make the claim 50 times more credible. I wonder if any eyewitnesses apart from close friends and family have watched the words appear.
But as we all know it would be blasphemy to actually test the phenonemon under scientific controlled conditions.
If someone questions this, it would be seen as questioning ‘Allah’ and we cannot offend these religious types, can we?
I don’t believe from a physical perspective he is being abused. The skin doesn’t look irritated just drawn on. If the mother can lie about the markings, she can also lie about the child becoming ill.
My question is this. Does this family really believe in Allah if it needs to make markings on this child in order to re-enforce Islam in Russia?
They are just attention seekers – I think we all are at some point in life…….especially that Derren Brown geezer, he’s the worst…
If It’s dermatographic urticaria then the baby isn’t being physically harmed. I have this and a light scratch will raise a welt. Even the rubbing of clothes will cause it to happen. It’s not sore but the raised skin itches a bit. Who knows how the child is getting it but it’s not in pain.
The really sad thing is as this is in a pretty remote place it will probably never get properly investigated and / or verified so all those thousands of Muslims will go on thinking this is real in blind faith and this exploited family, especially the child of course, will probably go on being exploited by some radical faction for much longer inorder to lie and deceive even more.
Bible excerpts, written in Mandarin Chinese on an Inuit baby, or Zen text written in Swahili on a German baby would be amazing enough. But this, well, what can I say?! What an incredible coincidence that it’s verses of the Qur’an written in Arabic on a Muslim baby. Irreligious pricks.
Most annoying thing is that Reuters don’t give any ‘hoax’ argument in their report, feature comment from no expert on skin conditions… Just pander to the faith of the religious believers. Worlds most respected news agency? Probably.
Poor little love. I don’t think parents are burning the child as there would be deep scaring by now. But they R doing something to the poor kid. Don’t know y he hasn’t been taken to the hospital I would if My child developed a fever and markings 1′s a week. I wouldn’t want my child in pain.
Y hasn’t some1 filmed the child go through this dramatic change? photos prove nothing, even film can be deceptive but harder to fake exspecialy with a young child.
this is so obviously child abuse, its disgusting the poor lil thing needs taking away from his cruel parents and putting somewhere safe! how anyone can hurt a small child is beyond me. if it was real why would god hurt a baby, what a cruel crock of crap!
Some people will believe anything in the name of religion! Poor kid, you have to wonder what they are doing to him. Remember if one person has an imaginary friend who talks to them, we lock them up and label them as nutters, if hundreds believe the same, we call it religion!
I bet he wouldn’t get any marks if he was isolated from his family and in a room with CCTV.
@Danny I believe you’ve got it backwards. Reuters is actually doing a rather good job of staying neutral in this report. Remember that journalism is the act of reporting what is happening, not the act of reporting what they believe is happening (ie. FOX news).
I’d rather Reuters show me exactly how many people believe this to be real (so I can be properly scared that such blind acceptance is so popular) than to shield me from extremism just because they or I don’t like it.
Sorry to spoil your little atheist party, but I’m a Muslim and I actually agree with some of the posters here in saying that this is a sick hoax by some misguided people. There are enough signs of Allah and proof of existence in everyday life that there is no need for these supposed ‘signs’ just like theres no need for Jesus’s face to appear in a Taco.
This sort of thing annoys me terribly. I only hope that whatever is being used to make the child’s skin is not going to cause any physical long term harm. This is one of the few times I would call someone silly for their religious beliefs.
´´the child is unwell everytime after a sign appears..“ !!!….
every few weeks another sign?….how many times do they burn-mark the kid ffsake?!
It´s so sad the family obviously need money, the mother medicine for munchousen syndrome, and all the sheep who belief need a kick in the butt! …and the kid, needs a way better environment away from those dangerous nut-jobs.
The mother wants attention, and so uses whatever method to write the verse on it’s leg.
The onlookers don’t question the legitimacy of it because they so badly want to believe that such things are really miracles. Because they want to believe, they don’t scrutinise, and they would probably consider a skeptic of this ‘miracle’ to be questioning the foundation of their faith, and react very badly.
Good god, these people are stupid. To say “This is proof that God exists”, when they have no proof of HOW the marks appear? In fact, I really wish that EVERYONE who believes in God would start thinking for themselves. But, no, you mustn’t question religion! Why is it that religion holds this special property of unquestionability?
Who’s got the mothers phone number? Tell her Randi’s got US $1 million cheque with her babys name on it. It’s already signed. She just has to go pick it up.
I believe that since the markings seems to disapear to make room for the next verse that it is not going to cause any physical long term harm to the child, just psycological harm is all they anticipate.
Just a few things. First of all, if they were branding or scolding this child then the scars would still be there a week later – different things couldn’t keep showing up which apparently is happening here, so I would say the only way they are actually showing up is if she wrote it on. Secondly, I wonder if anyone in the video has seen these markings appear right before them. And lastly, as someone else has rightly said, it’s rather funny how it’s Islamic writing that’s appeared. Oh, and another thing, I assume she is saying the baby is ill when it happens to make it seem more realistic. Scolding would leave scars.
Ehehehe … as if anyone could believe that. Maybe they use magic powder to write (or fluid) that fades fast, or it is not even that .. just a big hoax. On camera it def. has not been shown. The photographs are not for real.
It probably does not like to be used as a writing board ..
Single letters (or marks that look like a letter), that’s common but whole sentences .. ehehehe …
We call that tatiooing nowadays .. so it is a holy tatioo then I guess. We need to get the technique .. might be wanted by more people and tatoo artists.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

@JayKay – No worries, you weren’t imagining Maaz’s repetitive chanting; statement defending this cruel, nasty miracle’s validity; and link to “(enter religion here) religion dot com” – my last comment is now also without context, but as long as one notices this gap, one need not fear talking to self and guilt for pushing too far – such conscientiousness separates you from the toxic, viral geniuses who’d spread praise for such terribly abusive miracles.
Jeez, how strange, at this exact moment this actual thing came into my head even though it was ages ago! I cannot believe I finished posting on the 12 year old girl and spotted my name in the margin! Wow! You read minds too!
just 1 wk of medical hospitalization , and away from the parents and family will , relive every secrets of the miracle, and in the name of allah , the responsible person will be jailed.
All the people who think the mother is burning words on the child have no brains. If that was the case the scolding would be there for weeks the first time it was done. Liars…
That’s amazing
What a load of rubbish. It will turn out to be a hoax.
Poor Bairn!
Miracle or child abuse, you decide. Or rather you obviously know.
There’s a sucker born every minute…
Okay right so this just appears and happens to be a verse from Qur’an? Sorry for being controversial and I don’t mean to offend anyone but this cannot be real. Yes, the baby is in pain when the writing appears. Maybe if you stopped burning things into his limbs it’d stop? Maybe.
Apparently there is a skin disorder (dermatographic urticaria) that causes skin to become raised and inflammed after scratching the skin. Poor kid
I guess it’s convenient that they understand the words that are written on his body – it wouldn’t do at all if Japanese kanji showed up on his leg and no one was around who could read it.
aww.
Poor baby, being abused like that
i want to see this on science of scams.
remember the moto.
Well, I hope this IS a miracle. Otherwise…exploitative child abuse?
Magic Marker if you ask me, dad is probably home on a friday!!!
uhmm… The only possible way that is happening is someone is marking the baby, what the fuck? A very nobly deed to fuel naivety…
Huh?
Seriously? Come on, stop being cruel to the poor baby. Of course it’s ‘proof’.

Suprising amount of people in this thread that actually seem to consider that it could be real… I hope its just a large portion of irony..
You can only hope this is real – the only other alternative doesn’t really bear thinking about – poor baby.
Someone should be calling social services, she is obviously branding that child some way once a week.
munchausen’s by proxy.
exploiting your own baby, disgraceful bastards like balloon boy.some ppl shouldnt be allowed to have kids
Serious shortage of social workers in Russia then :S
To Dissenter,
Münchausen syndrome by proxy; Münchausen syndrome is where they injure themselves for attention.
Just to prove it, lets take the baby away from the family for a couple of weeks and see if it stops, if it does then their god is clearly angry and has decided not to talk to them anymore, thus proving that it’s real. God, use paper like the rest of us…or email.
I wonder what the parents use to burn the writing into their baby’s skin…
A white-hot coat hanger? Just some generic chemical irritant?…
Why is noone trying to confirm it? Some medical experts..maybe?
You have to remember extra-ordinary claims require extra-ordinary proof. All that anyone is saying in this report is that they blindly believe this to be true. @ Dissenter: it’s Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy when causing injury to the child (or other person).
oh yeah right can’t belive people really belive that shit, that poor little kid. So nobody has even bothered to investigate this. Sick parents!

The scariest thing is the instant belief, expecially when you see it in these kinds of numbers and the absolutism of it.
Who’s this Allan they keep talking about?
Poor kid….another hoaxy hoax

Henna?

Photoshopped
@Ralf – it’s not irony I’m afraid… It takes all sorts doesn’t it? Yes, I’m gobsmacked that ANYONE could believe this too.
Looks like Henna to me. She could just be putting it on him in the 20 minute ‘fever’ he has every Friday. Poor little thing, being used like that.
This child is being abused and it’s as simple as that.
@Danny I believe you’ve got it backwards. Reuters is actually doing a rather good job of staying neutral in this report. Remember that journalism is the act of reporting what is happening, not the act of reporting what they believe is happening (ie. FOX news).

Wonder where her ‘donations’ pot was…
Poor child…….
LC x
Things like this always turn out to be one of three things:
1. Unexplainable (possibly real)
2. Some rare medical condition
3. Fake
There’s no way this is a medical condition, and the marks look suspiciously like Henna (I’ve had it done before,) so I think I can safely say….FAKE!
It isn’t real!!!!!!!
This sort of thing annoys me terribly. I only hope that whatever is being used to make the child’s skin is not going to cause any physical long term harm. This is one of the few times I would call someone silly for their religious beliefs.
D’oh! see how wound up I am I meant, “mark” the child’s skin…
i’m 15 and can clearly see that its a hena tatoo or something along the lines of this.
Child abuse. But at least the markings fade within a week, so they aren’t burning the child. Henna?
´´the child is unwell everytime after a sign appears..“ !!!….

It´s so sad the family obviously need money, the mother medicine for munchousen syndrome, and all the sheep who belief need a kick in the butt! …and the kid, needs a way better environment away from those dangerous nut-jobs.
If it´s true, surely they won´t mind having the kid under supervision 24-24 for …say a month?
Bet nothing will appear.
@ Maaz – Oh for Christ’s sake. Oh shit, I forgot, I don’t believe in him either.
I ran the image of the writing through a translator program and it reads
“Balon boy is a hokes”
Not sure what it means..
Note to self: add *religion.com to restricted site list. And this IS the truth!
Yet another victim of this damn postal strike!
It’s a reflection of the culture really.

WTF ??? shes burning it on the babys skin, like with a custom made cattle prod come on child abuse no wonder he gets ill and starts crying
Where did Maaz’s post go? It’s disappeared! I’m talking to myself here. Well, same as ever then… Did I push too far?

I think its a form of child abuse, parents or someone printing it on the baby somehow.
I guess the child protection system just aint working over there! How can people be so cruel?
Whatever. I’m just happy to see a RUN DMC Tshirt in that crowd!!

@Hussan I agree this is NOT a hoax nor is it child abuse. Islam is the religion of truth.
SubhanAllah!!!
