First impressions aren’t always what they seem. Take this cute little bunny. It looks like a cuddly companion for a small child, but closer inspection reveals that this furry friend might be more appropriate for the smoker in your life instead. In fact, those who smoke may be the only ones who can appreciate both the rabbit’s appearance and its distinct perfume, a tobacco stench made possible by fur made from old cigarette filters.
Artist Tom Deininger collected discarded smokes from beach parking lots to create the above rabbit – which his website says “reeks of tobacco”.
Perhaps the most incredible piece is this portrait created from recycled materials. It may look photoshopped in to place. But you’re in for a shock when you watch the following video.

Simulacrum (plural: -cra), from the Latin simulacrum which means “likeness, similarity” and wtf does this mean, well I mean its like a rabbit but not one. A likeness of a rabbit, smoking bunny, filter bunny, fag bunny, thumper, bugs, we are late we are late for a very important date ………… (goes and has a smoke to work things out).
@Storm its meaning belies the truth of addiction, in that addiction can be a photorealistic truth represented in a toy. The interplay between diseased nicotine stained butts and its easter bunny imagery/form represents a subversion of adult dependancy on addiction and the childrens unknowing dependency on adults addictions…OR in other words its whatever ever you want it to be, i just made all of that up. Now i have to get back to work!!!!

But there is also . . . and I know I am melding things that probably have no connection here, but in the events vid it started with a litter bin, the only person wearing any other colour but red or black was the litter collector, this rabbit is litter in effect. A woman at the crossing threw her coffee away and then her cup. It could be saying that we squander and ignore what we dont know exists until its pointed out to us. So therefore recycling old ideas, old things, bringing us full circle. That there is beauty but we dont know how to look any more. Christ I only smoked a stirling leaded wtf was in that thing . . . . .

@JibJib @Storm – perhaps it’s a play on words… a parody of the irritating hare/hair in the mouth, and the irritation an addicted smoker feels between cigarettes… or the irritation of the smoking public on the increasingly health-centric population. Or a comment on animal testing – fag ends representing the carcinogenic evils pharmaceutical companies test on nature’s creatures.
Or, it could’ve just been:
– “What could I make out of these fluffy fag ends?”
– “Fluffy, you say? Roll them into a rabbit – someone will find a profound meaning to it, I’m sure.”

Yeah the alice in wonderland thing – that was soooooooooooo monday lol. But the rabbit in some circles is considered to be like the pied piper. Leading children into the mysteries. Which I guess is whats going on in a way. Through the looking glass and onwards. Reflections mirror images, reversed this and that like in a mirror and loads of references to it in his vids. I care too much about this and spend far too long trying to work it out. I am a geek and I feel ashamed lol.
