Well, it\'s never bad to try out stuff ofcourse .. it it doesn\'t work it mostly doesn\'\'t harm either. Hope let\'s people live ..

If all people had reasonsed immediately as everthing natural is crap .. there would be no medical science nowadays .. personal research will never harm. Even when med science says otherwise as med science is mainly based on a standard that does not apply to everyone. More in general I mean. Researchers first discover this and then years later the exact opposite .. people follow them .. with bad results at times as well. You never hear that much about that. Weird huh ... Science should not the new god either. Your own body is the best tool to measure some stuff (that is .. if you do understand your body).

Also there is a tree which grows in the Patagonian' Rainforest
by the name of "Oaks-Jutefolio". I think that's how you spell it.
Apparently the sap is supposed to have medicinal qualities
which are useful for sores and swellings

The blood typing fad never caught on in America or Europe, but is HUGE in Japan. They have whole dating sites that are based on blood type compatibility. See this article from ABC News http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=6527702&page=1

Huh, we get taught about bee venom for MS in our biotherapeutics class in Pharmacy. I don't know that it's been completely explained away by placebo, particularly in a disease where we really don't understand the mechanism of what causes it and makes it worse in the first place!

Tash - Snake venom is actually used in medicine, ACE-inhibitor drugs for Hypertension are based on it as are blood thinning agents. A lot of the newer heart drugs for heart attack patients are based on too. So i'm afraid that snake venom is not a fad, although a bite could be pretty nasty.
