An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life. This seems, to me, to be one of those things the media concoct in order to create a bit of a scandal. If Obama “admits” there are extra-terrestrials in contact with us, I’ll – for lack of a suitable euphemism – eat my hat.
The chances of life occurring are unbelievably tiny. It’s only because the Earth has been going for so many millions of years that it’s happened at all (viz. Dawkins’ new book “The Greatest Show On Earth”, I reccommend it). It only takes a milligram of maths knowledge to realise the chances of life occuring on another planet *during the same timeframe as us* and being sufficiently intellingent to communicate with us are basically one in infinity.
Like there’s not enough problems on the planet to worry about without adding aliens to the mix!

Its not before time !! The reality of it is, more cameras on phones, digital camcorders night vision and witnesses are seeing and capturing these UFO’s, I can safely say I have seen something, my husband, children and friends all claim to have witnessed these UFO’s.
How long can it be covered up? The nation of the world unite through the technology of PC and stories galore are found some with interesting footage, decieving and ridiculing the nation, knowing it is they who are deluded, not us who are stupid !
I can’t even understand how after Dr Greer released the disclosure report, which included top officials disclosing events of UFO and Alien activity. Sure would be great wouldn’t it, you can imagine such wonderful events leading to world peace. But no, lets face it, while we still have billions in poverty, 90% of the world’s wealth in only 2% of the population (don’t quote me on that but it’s not far off!), war, mass discrimination, blind faith, extremists of all religions in positions of power, hate, crime, legalised animal cruelty, global warming, profit from disease and Derek Okarah…such an event happening in the next few years would be the equivalent of bringing your new girlfriend to meet the family that you are so ashamed of on Christmas day.
Besides, the original articles just seems that little bit to vague for my liking. But got to admit it, that little bit of childlike excitement crept out at the thought of seeing an alien within my lifetime.
I fear this is complete garbage, but deep down I hope it’s true.

The old power holders of the world – heads of states (since real power now resides with stateless corporations) need to use the UN to get power back from the global corporations. To start to rein in the activities of these lawless corporations. The only way they can do this is by defining a new Global identity. A global identity can only be created by comparison to the other, what it’s not. And what it’s not is the UFO – the aliens (whether they exist or not).

@rebellionkid – Islamic extremism helps define the West, the idea of aliens help define the world. The acceptance of the existence of aliens makes the idea of West vs Islam.
I’m certainly very skeptical about the existence of aliens, even more so that of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, an evil Iran, Al Qaeda, Witches, 1960’s communists and any other “other” that’s been invented to help solidify individual nation states political power.
I think It’s logical to expect that in the face of rapidly receding power from the nations states to faceless, non-national, global corporations, that the nation states group together to reclaim the power back on that same global playing field. Aliens, the Other, help define what the world is. That way new global political power structures can come into existence.

They might as well disclose that god exists because that’s just as likely. It requires almost the same leap of faith to believe that aliens have visited us. Much as I’d like to believe we’ve been visited, it requires we believe in faster-than-light travel.

It’s quite exciting really. But the chances of us ever finding anything are slim. There most likely are other life forms out there but maybe they lived before our earth ever existed, or after we’re all long gone. Even if they were here now, the universe is too big for us ever to find them. I wish we could though
Hm … and we needed that? This disclosure. What if the people don’t report them any longer what they see and find? What if they research it already for quite some time all by theirselves .. and concluded stuff.
The only thing they will start to see is war/combat … and political strategies as they tend to do towards eachother .. Which did not work out to well either most of the time. Maybe we should not strive for contact .. live and let live .. The tendency in humans is a bit too clear. And energy … we can’t get around the way energy works .. when earth combines its energy it will encounter not other types of energy but the type we are quite used to … Staying on top seems wise but might trigger less good energy on the other side … and what if those stay on top too .. This is complete rubbish. Statistics show us that about 80% of ‘UFO’ sightings (that are reported) are near airports and that 55% are are from people who have been drinking that night. And yet people still believe them. Grow up.

Those of us who have seen them already know the truth…
A lot of the supporting reportage appears to be very well written with a number of ‘real’ scientists involved. Even if it does turn out to be untrue it still raises some interesting questions about how we as a species could deal with it. One thing I particularly get a kick from is the supposed number of alien species that have had contact various countries. Apparently the Russians have their own set of ‘friends’ and some a classed as benign with others not so nice. Finally the issues regarding certain technological advances and that they could have been developed without outside help…mwa-ha-ha-ha.

Provided that the Extraterrestials do not just want to offer us glass beads, there will be an interchange of knowledge and we assume, unless the pointy-eared ones are still at the technological level of say, Ireland, that we will be the Prime beneficiaries.So, what have they got?
