The stress of having a poor manager could have an effect to one's health. This is why I try to avoid stress at work. Either I ignore a simple problem or I find another job. But what is poor management. Some will love having a bad manager around ... get more healthy due to that. When you get worked up by all bad decisions of your manager, not only due to the fact that you are the one who needs to clean up the mess all the time .. yes, that will cause severe stress over a long term period and can cause lots of physical damage. Although it might have needed to be a weaker spot already. Adapting to your manager is not always easy .. how dumb can you pretend to be 40 hours a week ? How pyschic do you want to become? How depressed? Etc etc etc ... The other side is clear. It needs to be long term bad management ofcourse ... on a daily (or almost) daily bases. We are all humans .. and quite often it is not just the manager but the system .. the manager can be under heavy stress as well. Makes sense. But what is poor management.
