Infrared photography produces some of the most amazing photographs on the planet.
In infrared photography, the film or image sensor used within a digital camera is sensitive to infrared lighting, which allows the camera to pick up any light that’s invisible to the human eye.
Objects that are normally bright in visible light look dark, while normally dark objects look especially bright.
In most cases, an infrared filter is used which lets the infrared light to pass through to the camera. In the linked article, they take a look at 100 inspirational examples of infrared photography that are sure to both inspire and amaze you.

Doesn’t all seem to be shot while it’s dark. And also .. it’s not so that all dark objects start to look bright and vce versa. I had an infrared system on a camera .. the system could also put back normal colours to it ..
Nice pictures though .. but not taken with just an infrared lens … there’s a bit more work done to them, in some cases it seems more like a normal picture btw.
If anyones interested in Infrared, the opening sequence of Soy Cuba / I Am Cuba is filmed in Infrared.. its a beautiful film nonetheless and worth checking out anyways.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Cuba
Looks like the snow covered scene outside my window. Made a snowman for the first time in my life this morning. Childhood dream fulfilled! (I’m so sad.)
Some of those are stunning. But couldn’t get away from the fact that I felt like I was visiting my dreams whilst looking at them……
