I think the most profound bit, is that it shows the extent of our first radio transmissions, which have barely even left the Solar System.
How it brings into such sharp clarity how utterly infantile our first mewls out into the void of space are.
To think… somewhere way across the universe, some alien is watching ‘AlienTube’ – thinking how futile their efforts are.
Our transmissions centuries from ever reaching each other. Centuries more before reaching each others planets.
Then the very slow process of striking up a conversation. Knowing it will take generations to ever receive a reply.
Amazing.
That’s Insane, it’s amazing…
That just make me feel small, alone and like anything I do is ultimately pointless.

Thats why we have to preserve our planet… Just think of all the other planets on the edges of the universe and the advances they must have… looking back at ours! We must save our Earth so at least one day we can survive to be one of those planets looking back!
Interestingly it has been noticed that atoms, protons, neutrons and one celled animals, no matter the distance separating them, will “know” instantly when one of their kind has been injured or destroyed. hmmmmm, would seem to cancel out the “distance” requirement involved in communication, at least between one celled life. Now if only we can remember how to use this ability. My position is that “everything” in the Universe is connected on a level that we have somehow forgotten how to access. Peace, Love and Harmony………

And if after watching that you still think we are alone in that vastness you must be made of plasticine and turnips. Stunning – totally stunning. A picture paints a thousand words dont it.
