A couple of videos from a Norwegian News website. Experts are drawing conclusions of it being a rocket causing this. But Russians haven’t confirmed anything.
Could be someone hoping to mass hypnotise the Norwegians. Maybe to convince them to lower their prices. Or a portal to another world. Those are the two possibilities

Just seen this on YouTube, very strange…..
A little while ago I saw some lights in the sky very early in the morning I couldn’t explain, not what they looked like but more their erratic behaviour. There was probably some rational explanation but I still thought it was most odd.

I heard about this on the radio here in Norway. I think it’s probably just aurora borealis though.
The rocket speculation to me is the most viable.
First of all videos show a much smaller rotating pattern. As we all know a missile uses rifling (rotation) to stabilize it’s trajectory. Glare from the tail fin and the rocket engine will light up the smoke trail left behind.
Secondly the fact that Russia are firmly denying is circumstantial evidence.
Now the big question is: “Would you sleep more securely knowing it was a Russian missile/rocket, or little green men from Mars?”
now i dont usualy comment on these posts but i just had to say… isnt it kinda possible that this is just a light causeing this… like many nightclubs have strong beams that shoot up into the sky and can be seen for miles away… isnt this just a fancey version?… i mean.. the beam is coming directly from the ground..
i dunno just a more plausible explanation than UFO.

Well whatever it is, it’s pretty. And from all the photos it does seem to indicate a ground-based source.
According to Norwegian news, the russians have confirmed this is was a failed test of an intercontinetal ballistic missile. The eight failed attempt at launching the Bulava-missile. This is the Russian version of the infamous American rocket shield.
At first, I thought that this had to be a photoshop job, and that Phillis must have been lying to us. However, now that I’ve come to my senses, I’m leaning towards the idea of aurora borealis. No idea why it should form a spiral, but if you look just above the mountains, you can kind of see the usual ribbon of light. It’s either that, or someone really is attempting to mass hypnotise the Norwegians. (And who would do that, I wonder???
)
For now, let’s just admire its beauty.
As already said by veedr the Russians have admitted it came from a failed rocket launch….and there was the world hoping it was a UFO….shame

Rocket theory seems almost correct to me. Looks more like a test of an anti ballistic missile system by the Russians. In plain view of the west just to make a point. They don’t need to test these things where they can be so easily observed. It’s almost certainly a response to one of the many projects like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_YAL-1 (more likely one that isn’t so publicly well known)
Similar stuff a year or two with satellites being mysteriously knocked out of orbit.
It’s quite obviously the Autons transmitting themselves to Earth!
