A Brazilian toddler is recovering in hospital after he was found to have up to fifty sewing needles stuck inside his body.
Doctors treating the two year-old hope to remove all the needles but say it is proving difficult as some are inserted in vital organs.
The boy’s father has suggested the needles may be from a ‘black magic’ ritual after telling a newspaper that he saw items linked to ‘black magic’ in the home where the toddler lives with his mother and stepfather.
X-rays showed the needles, some up to two inches long, throughout his body. Doctors believe they were inserted one by one and not swallowed. A police investigation is taking place.

that is just disgustingly sick.
It seems the boy’s father was correct as the stepfather has now confessed to sticking the needles in for ritual purposes! What wickedness!!!!

heard it yesterday, and it just makes me cry…
Disgusting. I hope they took the kid away from them and will never give it back to them.
The needles represent iron. The Iron will not tolerate magic. The only person who can wield that power is a blacksmith. Hence iron is inserted to drive out supposed magic. Why the step father did it you can only imagine – was it the local witch that suggested it – a hand me down remedy – or was as with the acid victim boy a priest at the end of this, telling the step father that the child was possessed and to use iron to drive out the evil spirits. It does sound priestly because the idea of iron being used is religious in source the power of the iron driven in causing pain then drives out evil. But I would not blame the step father too much – magic in this area is feared who do you turn too – and if they say you need to do this or the child is lost and you will be cursed and all your friends and family say you must do it. What do you do?
Black magic rituals make me want to vomit. That poor boy! Makes me wish that there was a hell that man could burn in!
Thats just sick!!!!!
A potent example of the good it would do to stamp out superstition. It can be very harmful if taken too far.
