“The parents of little girl Margarita Tarantina are hereditary animal trainers. They put their daughter into a cage with alligators. The girl’s parents received two alligators – Misha and Masha – shortly before Rita was born. So they were raised together and made friends. Now they cannot stand being without one another. During four years of living together, the crocodiles never bit and did not even scar the little girl.
“Alligators are brutal predators, but they have reason. The reptiles understand that Margarita is just a child and they must not hurt her,” the head of the unusual family, Sergey Tarantin says.
“They like her, and she takes advantage of it. Rita likes Misha in particular. She can play with his paw or lie on his back, while she-crocodile Masha is more capricious,” the father said.”

But are they crocodiles or alligators?
Alligators or crocodiles? Make up your mind! Of course, it makes no difference; I don\’t fancy being in a cage with either.
This will have a tragic end one day.
“Crocodile” and “alligator” used in a mixed fashion throughout. Can’t help wondering which they actually are. Not that it makes much difference to the spirit of the story.
Ok that is slightly weird and there is no saying that the aligators wont turn on the child some day. They are ‘Brutal Predators’ as it suggests.
Wow, that seems like a recipe for disaster.
This is clearly how Naomi Campbell was brought up. Well, with some brutal animal of some sort :/ x x x
Uh oh… I see another headline about this family coming up in a few months. Probably starting \”Devastated Alligator Parents…..\”.
\”hello is that Social Services?\”
:/ This is clearly how Naomi Campbell was brought up. Well, with some brutal animal of some sort :/ x x
Beautiful. But how long before one of them fancies a snack?
What could possibly go wrong
How soon are we going to be hearing of the “tragic heartbreak” when this child is eaten. Its all very well letting people have their beliefs but these parents will still have a child when its older because of luck and not the rubbish they believe
Having a one year old daugher, I find this truely terrifying.
yeah i’d like to hear their comment when the things eat her.
There goes responsible parenting…
If this doesn’t turn bad at some point I will have to wonder what this would mean for her as a teenager.
I have a 4 year-old sister – i feel sorry for the crocidiles :/
I call shenanigans. Can’t possibly be real, or the child would have been taken away by the police.
Someone should point out to the parents that a child does not count as an animal in the eyes of society at large.
This has to be happening in a country where social services are third rate such as Russia or America. Here they’d have her removed soon as they found out; in spite of their terrible public perception.
Don’t care how good they are at training animals…they got no concept of raising children.
Actually, if they really are alligators (Which going by the pic, I think they are.) They are pretty docile creatures. You can even approach them and stroke them in the wild. (Provided you approach where they can see you, and not suddenly.) (Crocodiles however, are aggressive. )
So, if they alligators and the child where brought up from a young age, there would be a certain amount of printing onto the animal. Sure, theres always a risk, but everything in life has a risk so…
Wow I wonder how long it will be until one of them has her for lunch!
I just hope the child hasn’t learned to eat the way they do. Grabbing a Gazelle by the throat and trying to drown it could cause some awkward moments on the next school trip to the Zoo
I’m sure the parents wont keep it like that or have already changed it. The risk is quite clear to most sane people. Although lots take similar risks with cats and dogs around their childeren as well. Claw in the eye, bites ….. Childeren are often not nice … at times it’s not even weird or cruel when a dog or cat would hit back once. That’s the dogs and cats that are not having a really primal nature inside anymore.
Idiots. Any responsible authority would remove that child from the home pronto,
It’s sometimes so sad that there is no parent exam before letting anyone have a baby…
The ‘crocodilians’ depicted are most likely American crocs, though it’s hard to discern from the picture alone. The toothy narrow muzzles give them away, and the video shows off the characteristic V-shaped jaws. The article could do with a tad bit of editing, perhaps.
Those poor little crocogators. This will end in distaster, I can see the headlines now – ‘male croc flattened to death by overweight 8 year old’.
It’s amazing to me how quick people judge, knowing nothing at all about alligators except that they’re big and have teeth.
If these are young alligators raised with this child from birth, I see no reason why they should not accept her as family. Of course, once they mature enough to become agressive, needing their own territory, they will need to leave the house, but as long as they’re still young themselves I see no reason why this should be any more dangerous than letting your children play on the streets while cars go by.
Is anyone else now thinking about Grotbags and Croc?
!!…
If it sounds ridiculous then maybe it is…tranquilizers maybe?
look closely… their jaws are tied shut. also… they don’t seem to be moving very much.
OM-NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM!
and thers me thinking my rents didnt like me lol :S
This is right up there with dangling your baby out of a window , or jumping about in a crocodile pit with your daughter in your arms.
What makes people think that their children have no human rights????
and if the gators do attack the little girl then what do they say…’oops, how were we to know?…it was a freak accident…’
the kid should be taken away for them and they should be jailed…I also think this could be a perverse murder attempt, just like when stupid english tourists take their kids up the scottish highlands wearing sandals and have to leave them there to ‘go look for help’

I think you were allowed to play on the street as cars went by , GATORS (by the way) are not puppy dogs, they are reptiles with tiny and i do mean tiny reptilian brains, the only reason they dont attack is not because of a moral connundrum that they face, it is because they are fed
I bet they have a snappy up bringing!
When the poor creatures mouths are taped shut (look closely), it looks like cruelty to animals to me. The little girl appears to have live toys to play with, and the animals have no way of protesting their treatment. Perhaps they should have started her with something less spectacular that has the freedom to move away or produce a warning noise or movement.
As ever, it’s a funny old world out there.
Alligators they deffo are…size, spjnes and jaw make all the difference. An Alligator can be pretty docile but will still have you if it wants to. If this child has been brought up with them then they will likely see her as one of the group but even then if a group member misbehaves they bite to show they won’t take it so one day she may just go too far however it’s great to see a child developing a passion for these animals at a young age…it might just turn into something good and she may become an advocate for them in the future. However if the alli’s are treated poorly i would find it disgusting behaviour…
My mother-in-law wanted to swim in a local crocodile-infested lake when we took her on holiday
The ranger warned her of the dangers but being stubborn she still wanted to swim there
After she jumped in the lake 4 of the crocs immediately entered it too
By the time the ranger and I got there it was too late to save the crocodiles!
I suspect this is more of a stunt than anything else. Does social services know.
