We will be doing a blog post each week showing Derren’s tweets for all those who aren’t on twitter. So here’s the first!
4th Jan – Lovely day in Brizzle. Museum cafe and other haunts. Fell flat on arse in icy Victoria Square Clifton. Saw Pete Clifford’s excellent Christmas magic show. Bit tipsy, off to sleepy Bedforshire. Ner-night. X
4th Jan – Off for brunch at Peter’s and then must watch first cut of latest documentary to send notes thereupon. Docs will air in Spring. Crisp chill.
4th Jan – Still in Bristol: ‘Peter’ is P. Clifford, dear friend and actor/magician. Played our ‘scientist’ in Milgram experiment in Heist.
4th Jan – Sunset on deep frost viewed through train window. Glorious.
4th Jan – Listening to music through the flat on my Xmas-gift-to-self Sonos system. Amazing, can even control from iPhone. http://www.piurl.com/20Ci
6th Jan – Cooked lunch with Coops and his lady and are now listening to Christmas carols and watching snow. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
9th Jan – Sat in Starbucks. If any of you are passing, come in and say hello and I’ll buy you a coffee.
9th Jan – Not one of you? Feck it, I’m going home.

Good idea for those not using Twitter!!
I love to read Derren’s tweets they are so…………random, in a good way of course ;D
xxxxx Di xxxxx
Aaah lovely idea. I run a group on Yahoo for Derren and I do the same on there too with re his tweets on Twitter (have been for a while now).
I hope he wasn’t too sore about yesterday. Poor Derren….I have these visions of him sitting there in Starbucks waiting to be inundated with greetings and none materialising. Aww, he knows we love him. xx
Huggles all round,
LC x
aww noone came to see you in Starbucks
I also fell on my arse on the ice. In front of loads of people at college. Oh the embarrassment.
Could Of Done With That Coffee
Can’t Wait Till Your In Crawley….
Ok next time you want to meet for coffee I would be most obliged if u would switch on the gps on your iPhone, then I could find you more easily…:) haha because really u are due me one after managing to slip through my fingers at Aberdeen airport hahahaha XXXXXXXX
Nikki x
LOVE IT AS ALWAYS!
XXXXXXXXXX Thanks Derren for all your glorious tweets!!
Damn I could really have done with a coffee around then!
This is a nice idea. There have been several occasions, to others & myself, where Derren’s tweets simply don’t appear on personal timelines, or in text alerts (I think the cold weather’s affecting Twitter too!), which you only catch onto after there’s a mass of fellow followers @replying
Hahaha @Nikki_watt – Yeah i had to support her through the trauma of that lol
Like i said on Twitter i recon Derren would keek himself if someone had actually turned up at Starbucks
You are such a tease MR Brown grrrrrrrrrrr!!!
XXXXXXX Di XXXXXXX
I just signed up to Twitter so I could follow the mighty Derren’s tweets. Doh!
Derren was in Aberdeen and I missed him :O when. Why. Where. Nooooooo
ahhhhh, you think its lovely there, you should see it here in Germany its so lovely with the snow, and of course watching the world walk by stumbling and slipping in the snow. The fact that you invited the whole world for a coffee and no one responded….(well in time anyway), so I will respond in kind, come for a coffee here, in a small sleepy town in Germany watching the world go by and trying to guess how many fall on their bums……. I’m buying.
(Happy New Year)
Thanks for your Tweets….. So while you are sitting in Starbucks waiting for a stampeed of people rushing in to claim their free coffee, I was sitting in a small cafe in Germany watching the world go by wondering how many people would end up on their bums while slipping their way through town.
Its so beatiful here, not sure this is original but you and all your possy are more than welcome to come over here and have a coffee with me… I’m buying.
Happy New Year to you all xxx
as you can all tell, not used to leaving comments and now like a plonker have written it twice…. (another blond moment)
Coffee still on
ahh good idea for those who don’t use twitter (I myself do) but not everyone likes the idea, fair enough I say. At least they can keep up with his random (and often hilarious) ramblings!!!
Dang you Derren you didn’t say which starbucks lol, come to our local starbucks here in my hometown’s town centre when you come here in march & I will buy YOU drinks gladly!!! hehehe
(yeah I WAS being serious sweetie
) I’d be happy to oblige anytime
hope you’ve had a lovely weekend
take care
love xxx Chantelle xxx
Lies, Derren. I was in Starbucks on the 9th and didn’t see you anywhere. And I would have known because we would have been the only non-Koreans there.
oh, this is kewl, thanx youse guys!
‘Feck it, I’m going home.’
LOL! thats going in my vocabulary!
Next time you want to meet up with people for coffee, and you\’re in the general area, I\’ll pop by
(We don\’t have a starbucks here though)
“9th Jan – Not one of you? Feck it, I’m going home.”
ROFL!!
XD
You do put a smile on my face. love reading your tweets before I have to go to work.
xx
Damn, missed you by 3 days! Spent new year in Bristol myself. Ah well, it’s a great city anyhow.
Peter Clifford is also on the Devil’s Picturebook right? I was dumb enough to sell it off to a friend :S
I never seen Peter perform on stage (not acting not magic) but the guy is a brilliant quiet and well trained magician (much like Derren –don’t know about the quiet part
) I am looking forward to the documentary.
And hopefully I will catch Peter’s show next year. So many good (magic) performers I want to see.
great. i would have come in for a coffee but i live too far away
x
Aw, I’d love a coffee with Derren. Provided he’s buying, of course.
Ooooh, good idea. I’m not on Twitter, but I still check Derren’s Twitter page (Some of his tweets are hilarious!
)
P.s. Derren, how are we supposed to know which Starbucks you’re in? They’re EVERYWHERE! Even if you did narrow it down to Bristol, there must be about a hundred there alone! I saw two in the same street once!
Erm .. what about the hidden ones … ehehe … I’ms ure those say more about Derren … ehehehe … Not that there is something wrong with the more “general” ones posted here. We can read between the lines ofcourse .. not sure if that is recommended .. that might trigger weird responses .. not that I ever do that though. I’m way too old for tweeting weird stuff. I’m way too serious for that.
Uhuh … if someone would try to analyse me via my tweets …. man …. or encounter me after having tweeted with me …. oh my ….. in for a shock …
What is your present state of mind .. that question will be answered quite good while reading someone’s tweets .. but not always … tricky business … So, better not to analyse people via his/her tweets .. ehehe …
I wont comment on Starbucks, it’s a personal thing.
We need more tweets, Derren – been a bit thin on the ground lately. x
You were in the wrong Starbucks…get it right next time, eh.
;p
brilliant idea! i dont have twitter but your always writing posts on here about it so glad we can all have a chance to read it all!
Yay. Thank you, Abeo. For security reasons we don’t use twitter in our home.
