My comment is long but worth considering: This condition is very rare. Nevertheless, it does happen. For the sake of those families who happen to have lost children like these--daughters or sons, sisters or brothers whom they loved, were so excited to meet and then were devastated to lose--please be careful to keep you comments kind. Don't forget that these twins are REAL PEOPLE born of REAL parents who looked forward to having a child. It is crushing to find out that your pregnancy will end in a funeral with a very tiny casket. Trust me--I know. So, before you post something, imagine someone who had just found out that they were carrying twins like these, reading your post. Be sure you don't write something that would make them feel worse. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Funny how it's a "skeleton", tacitly and morbidly underlining high-fatality rate of conjoined twins. That morose thought aside, it's wild to look at the skeleton and think...really....that COULD pass for one person!! What constitutes "two people" or "one person with slightly elongated, partially doubled anatomical extensions"? Fascinating!! How many people am i? lol.

You could ask either Madame Talbot or The Space Cowboy, they both collect these kinds of old sideshow oddities. They know which ones are gaffs, they're used to collecting the genuine article. Keep up the great work :)

I agree they have no feelings anymore but....would you like if someone would purchase your beloved one like this and put on their mantelpiece to show everyone how "gothick" and "edgy" they are? Pathetic!

As these appear to be the joint skeletons of two infants, I think they didn't suffer much before they died. It's probably a replica, but it looks like a 19th century model, in which case I doubt either the infants or the mother survived the birth.
Also, I seriously doubt whether a skeleton has any feelings, so I'd wager a guess that these remains don't much mind being on display.

@Voiceofreason. They are dead, and beautiful. They are not suffering. Science can use this specimen and others like it to show how complex and also simple we really are.

How very sad. It would be terrible to have been that/those person/people. Then to be exhibited as entertainment when you die?
Is there no release?
