“‘Keep your eyes on the road!’ Scientists at Freie Universität working under the computer science professor Raúl Rojas have given a completely new meaning to this standard rule for drivers: Using software they developed, they can steer a car with their eyes.
On the site of the former Berlin Tempelhof Airport, the head of the project, Raul Rojas, and his team from the Artificial Intelligence Group recently demonstrated how they can steer the vehicle that is equipped with complex electronics just by eye. More than 60 journalists from around the world were there to watch.”

Oh, I do have that software built in as well !!! I drive around at times without ever knowing how I got there.
All these technologies might one day serve people that can’t see or the ones that dont want to sit behind a driver etc etc .. I myself dont have a wish for it, but I’m sure lots will have that.
The remote control e.g. is still not really an item that I feel that serves me so well. I did not really have a need for that. Goes for many technologies. In fact, I think most are not really serving human health in the end so well, and as we ourselves are completely depedent on that ..

Oh dear oh dear, am I the only one that sees what a bad idea this is? Surely every sensible driver looks all over the place obseving what up up ahead and behind, how will the car know when you are checking for hazards and when you actually want to steer that way?
Nevermind all the hot birds, what about originas/celeb look-a-likes/harleys/funny tramps and the odd good looking oap?

I once saw a lady who, when she was applying make up, steered her car with her knees or elbows. Now eyes, you will say, are a rather different kettle of fish to knees or elbows, but I will just put my fingers in my ears.
