Hm … that’s the favorite dish of a few more on this planet as it seems. Airplane engines prepare those dishes from volcano ashes .. is probably even more hot than a light bulb among a few …

I used to have a friend in kindergarten who put candy in his nose (little round candy that ofcourse got stuck) … never got that either. Eating glass .. must have been pretty pissed that boy or a desperate need for attention.

Ever wanted to have the mouth, throat and stomach checked of a few of those who do this in public?

Light bulbs are being made of easy glass (unless you do not have all teeth in your mouth anymore and do not control your tongue so well).

If you remember in one of DB’s shows the guy ate a light bulb, proving it is not as dangerous as it sounds. Although eating 1500, maybe because the guy is poor and it is sustenance.

Some places make clay/mud cakes to eat because there literally isn’t any food around. Here in Asia, bugs are eaten quite commonly because when you are poor, they are available to get as you want and cook them.

So not so strange, but a little peculiar.
