		<description>It&#039;s main genome is a mix of two species, OK that&#039;s unusual but what made me stop and say &quot;what&quot; is it&#039;s mitochodrial DNA doesn&#039;t match either. To me (not a biologist or an -ist of any of the biological sciences) that seems very strange. What process would lead to that? And if it is very unusual for species breed in this way one feels that it is likely they are related. I&#039;m not proposing some ancient genetic engineering civilisation conspiracy theory but...</description>

I have to say, I love bats. My personal favourite species is the Pemba Flying Fox (It can&#039;t echolocate, but has a wingspan that reaches 6 feet!!!) My mum once saw some in Tanzania, roosting in a tree. She thought they were giant fruit pods.
