“The Fortean Times has a wonderful article that discusses the long and winding quest to find scientific evidence for telepathy, extra-sensory perception and other mysterious psychic powers. The opening paragraph both made me laugh out loud and sets the scene for the rest of the article:
There are two truths universally acknowledged about extra-sensory perception (ESP). The first is that the anecdotal evidence is often fun and fascinating to read, whereas to peruse the experimental evidence is as boring as batshit, as our antipodean cousins say, and the investigative methods generally employed would for most of us banish insomnia for all time. We can’t avoid discussing these methods and their results in these entries, but we do promise to be brief and to strive personfully not to ruin your reading experience. ”

I believe there are thought wavebands
that we don’t fully understand!
(But then I’ve been diagnosed with dementia praecox.)
have to agree with you on the hilarity of the first paragraph a great little article as well
Derren Brown’s telepathic – I seen it on a video.
im telepathic but as a magicians its just a trick what i do
Judging by the picture, Dr. Frankenstein was running out of budget.
Hah! So they’re offering telepathy as studied scientifically, but they’re going to ignore the scientific method from the get go?
well, yeah…reading scientific studies are pretty boring. but this “history” only goes back to the 1940s…completely ignoring all those who did such research in the 19th & early 20th centuries, such as dr. richet.
Having watched a very impressive show last night where Derren made observations and answered questions from the audience, would I be wrong to say that if one discounts, fraud, collusion and any other such devices then no other possible explanation can be put forward than he is Psychic, Telepathic or using some such Psi ability.
If anybody can put forward any other possibility I would be very interested.
