There is a Jellyfish whose biology allows it to go from a fully mature Medusa, to its polyp stage and back again indefinitely. TheĀ Turritopsis nutricula is a small jellyfish with an ability so far unique in the animal kingdom. It is the only known jellyfish to have developed the ability to return to a polyp state. Or basically, reverse its life cycle, then grow up again. This process allows the jellyfish to bypass death. In fact, there may be no natural limit to its life span. The process is called transdifferentiation.

Have they started to inject monkeys with it yet?
Jellyfish have all the luck.
I need it to bite me like the spider from spider-man, then I will be jelly-man and able to turn into a baby in dangerous occasions.
Amazing. So could the biological structure be cloned and used on humans? Eternal life? Creepy.
Most probably this information was gleamed from this TED talk: http://www.ted.com/talks/rachel_sussman_the_world_s_oldest_living_things.html
for humans, i can imagine it being quite painful, having bones and all that… but still Jelly-man COOL AS!
Heard about this on QI. As Queen once said, “Who wants to live forever?”
Wow, now that is just COOOOOOL!
