We have had the privilege to examine closely some of the amazing Burgess Shale fossils at the Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto), they really are incredible and many palaeontologists would argue that the Burgess Shale fossils (Stephen Formation) are the best preserved body fossils of any geological period. I too have a soft spot for Trilobites, a very important group of Arthropods. There are still a few very special locations in the UK where Trilobite fossils can be found, but most sites have been "commercially" mined by fossil stores, professional collectors and fossil sellers. We provide models of Trilobites, but these too are rare and difficult to get hold off.

I want a trilobite. Why don't Airfix make trilobites? They are so alien. Our ancestors, our very distant cousins are more aliens than aliens.
